Our Trip to NdUlegence Restaurant – Las Vegas NV

NdUlegence is a unique restaurant located in Downtown Las Vegas Nevada near to the strip. It’s one of several hidden kitchens in this building. You order on-line or type in your order at a kiosk. You either take out or eat at the seating here.

They offer sides like fried green tomatoes and salads like BBQ Chicken. They also offer 1/2 pound wagyu burgers, creamy cajun pasta with chicken or shrimp. Some of the entrees that you can find here are smoked beef brisket, loaded jerk chicken potatoes, pork belly mac-N-cheese, and lamb chops. They also offer different sides like fried cabbage, grilled root vegetables, and dirty beans.

We started out by sharing some of the fried green tomatoes.

These are really tasty and good. They even got a little zip to them and come with romulade sauce.

I tried the BBQ Chicken Salad.

I have to it’s an ultra generous portion and there is LOTS of moist chicken breast. Under is mixed soft greens, onions, tomatoes, pecans, cranberries, strawberries, and tangerines. With a thin strawberry dressing. As far as salads go this is pretty good.

My husband tried the pork belly macaroni and cheese. It’s also a generous large portion of food.

For his taste the pork belly could be more tender and the rest is ok.

That was our trip to NdUlegence.

Yoshiya Kitchen North Las Vegas NV – Worth a Try!

Yoshiya Kitchen is a small casual Japanese Restaurant located in the Centennial area of NORTH LAS VEGAS Nevada.

A few of the appetizers they offer are – Tako Wasabi (octopus with horseradish), Kurobuta Sausage, and Gyoza. They offer signature dishes like Japanese Chashu Omelets and Yoshiya House Kurobuta Sausage Fried Rice. Yoshiya Kitchen also offers salads, rice bowls, Japanese Curries, a variety of ramen dishes, desserts, and soft beverages.

We tried the fried oysters and chicken karaage appetizers.

The sauce for the oysters is very unique. We asked what it was but our server didn’t know. The oysters were fried nice but seemed like from canned.

The chicken karaage was fried nice and seemed free of oil. It came with a creamy sauce that might have been sriracha mayo with a sriracha dollop. It didn’t taste bad but seemed like it might have been over marinated because of the texture it had.

We both enjoyed our mains.

I had the smoked salmon salad (organic spring mix, edamame, onion, seaweed, tomato, rice, and yuzu sesame dressing.

This was a very nice salad. I’d get this again.

My husband enjoyed the beef udon with eggs.

I saw him slurping up very chewy noodles from this dish. He said that the beef was tender and tasty.

Based on this visit I’d say that Yoshiya Kitchen is Worth a Try!

Cevicheria El Diamante Las Vegas NV – VERY GOOD Ceviche – Worth a Fork!

Cevicheria El Diamante is a Mexican Seafood Restaurant in Las Vegas Nevada (not far from the airport) that specializes in offering Ceviche. They also offer appetizers like guacamole, shrimp stuffed banana peppers and toastada platters. Some of the other things they offer are aguachiles, tacos, molaojetes, kids meals, Several fish platters and entrees like mixed protein pasta with creamy sauce and peppers, bacon wrapped shrimp, and lobster tails.

It’s a small place that fills up fast. They also have outdoor dining for when the weather is nice.

They serve us complimentary tostadas, crackers, and salsa.

This is a Cevicheria so we share a Ceviche called Pescador (salmon & tuna marinated in lime juice with cucumber, cilantro, tomatoes, onion, avocado, serrano, & black sauce…It also is topped with a creamy mayo based sauce)

The fish seems very fresh. The sauce is sort of refreshing. It does have mild heat to it but it’s tasty. I’ll get this again sometime…Actually I mean we will get this again…It’s large for sharing. I wish it came in a half size.

We also share a single marlin taco.

It’s a nicely prepared taco that is generously packed.

My husband got the Shrimp marinated in lime & onion with avocado and CHILTEPIN sauce. (incase you don’t know chiltepin are very expensive but also are more delicious than other hot peppers. They also are VERY HOT and should be used sparingly.

He said that it was very good but almost too spicy hot to eat.

Notable Dish Of The Week – The Truffle Garlic Mushroom Brie Taco with Spicy Raspberry Sauce from The Meat Wagon Las Vegas NV

We both enjoyed our meals from a Unique American restaurant in Las Vegas called The Meat Wagon.

I tried an assorted Taco Plate ( mushroom, fish, chicken). ((It comes with house made chips and are on house made grilled pita breads))

All three tacos were delicious but the most out of the ordinary taco was the –

Truffle, garlic, mushroom, brie, taco with spicy raspberry sauce.

I’ll be honest…….since I tell the FORKING Truth….I don’t really get the truffle but the combination is so oddball and so unusually delicious I have to give it to this one.

Yukon Pizza – Las Vegas NV – Very Good Pizza but seating is limited

Yukon Pizza is located near to Downtown Las Vegas Nevada. They specialize in serving wood fired sourdough pizzas made a 120 year old family heirloom starter. Besides pizzas they offer starters like chicken thigh bites, kale Caesar salads, and embellished fries. They also offer a variety of chicken or cauliflower wings, sandwiches, and lunch specials.

Recently Yukon Pizza competed in the International Pizza Festival and WON a World Pizza Champion Title in the Non-Traditional Pizza Category so naturally I wanted to try it.

It’s very small inside with little seating. There is the pizza bar to sit at, a another small bar, and one two top table inside, and two top tables outside.

I tried a small (8 inch) Grandpa White Pizza (mozzarella, parmesan, garlic oil, confit garlic, basil, and ricotta).

It has a very puffy blistered crust that is chewy and developed with flavor. The middle is thin and is covered with quality cheeses, some sweet garlic flavor and pops of fresh basil.

My husband tried the Wiseguy (sausage, roasted red pepper, caramelized onions, mozzarella, provolone, marinara sauce, basil, parmesan, garlic oil).

My husband said that this was a very good delicious pizza made with very good sausage.

I think that the pizza is good enough to be “Worth a Fork!” but with such limited seating I don’t want to to run there and get mad at me for not finding a seat to sit at.

The Meat Wagon Las Vegas NV – DIFFERENT maybe WEIRD but Worth a Fork!

The Meat Wagon is a casual restaurant on the west side of Las Vegas Nevada. They offer mostly cheesy sandwiches on house made flat bread and a lot of other unique “stick to your ribs” type foods. A few of the other things the Meat Wagon offers are tacos (on house made grilled pita breads, burgers, wings, chicken and waffles, potato skins stuffed with BBQ Korean beef, corn, and cheese.

It’s a very different atmosphere.

It’s hard to see in my next picture but there is a wall of refrigerators across the back wall that are decorated with space theme pictures.

We ordered at the counter and I was told to spin a wheel.

What the cluck? I won a rubber duck!

We grabbed a table and in reasonable time we were served a toilet of crispy Brussels sprouts.

I thought that the toilet presentation was really FORKING Weird but the Brussels sprouts were still tasty……The Brussels sprouts were suppose to be made with garlic truffle butter, aged parm cheese and a side of honey butter….I don’t really get the garlic truffle butter but whatever they are they are still tasty.

I tried green chile chicken taco, an ale battered wild cod taco, and a truffle garlic mushroom brie taco with spicy raspberry sauce.

I do have to say that all three tacos really are very good.

The chicken taco is mighty flavorful and wickedly spicy…..too spicy for the faint of heart…..but very good and very delicious.

The fish taco was made with plump meaty mild white fish and the taste is what you expect it to be.

The real surprise hit here is the mushroom taco with spicy raspberry sauce. I don’t really get the truffle garlic but these flavor combinations are very good.

This also came with chips and at the time of my visit each taco was a bargain at only $6.00 each.

My husband tried the Conspiracy Theory of the day – BBQ sirloin, caramelized onions, bacon, cheese, on house made pita with rocket fries.

He said it all was very good!

We didn’t try everything they got here but we did try a lot.

I have to say The Meat Wagon is Worth a Fork!

Cipriani Las Vegas NV – BLAND FOOD

Cipriani is a Italian with a limited Japanese Menu Restaurant with locations in Italy, Europe, Asia, and the United States.

The Las Vegas Location is located in the Wynn Casino Resort on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada.

The atmosphere is rich and inviting but the food is mostly BLAND.

I wanted to dine here because I read on EaterVegas that Cipriani offers one of the best lunches in all of Vegas. It actually makes the 19 Essential lunch spots of Las Vegas.

Our lunch started with quality balsamic, olive oil, and bland bread and breadsticks.

Then I started with a BLAND bowl of lentil soup that completely lacks depth.

My husband started with the mortadella and high content vinegar cornichons.

He said that the mortadella wasn’t bad but not the best…..He only saw one piece of pistachio in it.

We both had the Cipriani Tagliolini with Branzino and Cherry Tomatoes. The pasta seems fresh made and is cooked perfect…..but…

It’s almost flavorless.

Except for fishy blood-line left on some pieces.

Desserts were better.

The Ricotta Cheese Cake isn’t bad but it differs from other ricotta cheese cakes out there…..It’s like cake batter mixed with lots of ricotta and mixed berries.

We also shared sorbet. We were expecting Yuzu Sorbet and Lemon Sorbet…..But we were served mango and lemon sorbet because they were out of yuzu sorbet.

Both sorbets are very good. I could come here for only lemon sorbet but I doubt I will.

Meraki Greek Grill Las Vegas NV – Worth a Try!

Meráki Greek Grill has around 6 locations in Las Vegas Nevada (5 locations and a soon to be 6th location at the time of visit). This is a casual restaurant. You order and pay at the counter, and then grab a number and seat yourself (inside or on the patio).

We started out by sharing a side order of falafels.

The falafels are soft with soft exteriors but are herby and flavorful inside.

We both tried the signature Meraki Bowls.

My husband got his with gyro meat and rice.

Here the gyro meat is cut thicker so it’s stays slightly more moist. The bowl come with a generous amount of feta cheese, it also comes with garbanzo beans, olives, radish, tomatoes, and greens.

I tried my Meraki Signature Bowl with Norwegian Salmon and Quinoa.

The salmon has very nice grill marks on it but……….

It’s really over cooked and contains the whole bloodline that needs to be removed.

Not counting the salmon……… The salad is generous in size and is good. I just wouldn’t recommend getting the salmon. But maybe it depends on who is cooking? At the “OTHER” Greek restaurant….The one with a similar menu…..Sometimes their salmon is very good and sometimes it is dry and over cooked….Could be the same story here?

I’ll try chicken next time here.

Monzu Italian Oven & Bar – Always Worth a Fork!

Monzu Italian Oven & Bar is obviously an Italian Restaurant and it’s located not too far away from the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada.

Besides the usual Italian Foods like antipasti, insalate, pasta, steaks, chicken, fish and more. This restaurant starts you off with their special bread that takes five days to prepare. It’s gets it’s unique taste from an all natural over three hundred year old family mother starter made from apricots.

They serve the special bread with oil and house made ricotta cheese.

We’ve so far have always ordered the 7 or 8 course (depending on how you look at it) $62. Chef’s Menu because it just might be the best FORKING Deal in Vegas.

It’s always different…..But tonight it went like this…..

First is Antipasti-

Starting top left going clockwise is – Grilled Artichokes, 4 kinds of cheese, marinated olives and pickled vegetables, Italian sliced beef, cheese stuffed squash blossoms, and fried breads.

Next were salads.

Fried kale salad with pomegranate, blood orange, and walnuts and a crispy fennel salad.

Risotto Verde with artichokes, peas, fava beans, fennel, and topped with grated cured egg.

Potato Gnocchi in gorgonzola cream sauce with walnuts.

Mortadella Pizza made with taleggio and mozzarella cheese, artisan mortadella, pistachio pesto, and basil with sides of marscapone cream and crushed Calabrian chili peppers.

Lombatello – (hardwood grilled hanger steak) with salsa verde and potatoes.

(The FORKING Truth……..This steak really was tender as butter)

Pollo I Vernizzi – chicken in wine sauce with onion, garlic, and potatoes

All kinds of desserts

This really was far more food than we could eat so we brought back enough for another dinner.

Everything was delicious and service was perfect.
