Tony Luke’s is famous in south Philly PA for their pork sandwich and cheesesteaks. They have a food stand in the Canteen Food Hall in the Rio Casino/Hotel right by the Las Vegas Strip.

I tried a chicken steak hoagie with added bell peppers (no cheese) and got this.

They did give me a lot of chicken…..possibly extra chicken? But all the chicken is dry and crunchy. They also slapped on too much mayonnaise. Maybe because they knew the chicken was so dry. Oddly this sandwich contains pickle chips. That tastes weird in this sandwich. Usually a chicken steak hoagie is chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. This one is different it’s chicken (no cheese at my request) sautéed onion, (I added bell peppers) tomato slice, and mayonnaise. I brought home lots of crunchy chicken. My dogs enjoyed it.

My husband ordered a pizza cheesesteak with extra cheese. He got this.

It seems to me missing the marinara sauce and most of the cheeses.

CLEARLY – NOT THE BEST!
