Komex Fusion is a Korean/Mexican Restaurant located on the West Side of Las Vegas Nevada not too far from the Las Vegas Strip. This is a small casual restaurant. If they seem familiar to you then you might have already come across them somewhere.
They offer some traditional style Mexican dishes like tacos, burritos, and tortas but what you really might have came for is their Bulgogi Heavy Menu of fusion tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chimichangas, and their FAMOUS BULGOGI TOSTADA that was featured on Food Network’s Taco Trip (pictured below – crispy rice patty topped with bulgogi, Komex slaw, pico de gallo,Korean Hot Sauce)
Mighty Delicious!
Or maybe you prefer something like a Bulgogi Grilled Cheese on Texas Toast.
The Bootlegger Italian Bistro is a famous multi award wining Old School Italian Restaurant and ,bar, that also offers banquets, catering, gaming, nightclub, and entertainment. As soon as you enter you see various photos of celebrities that dined here.
Most of the dining rooms are red and are lined with more celebrity photos.
Here is part of the bar area.
We got seated in the Steve & Eydie Booth.
We ordered and they started us off with well seasoned bread with garlic and tasty red sauce on the side. They told us that we could have all the bread we want.
For my main I ordered the lunch sized Pollo Angelo.
It’s chicken breast in a sherry wine lemon caper sauce with artichokes, mushrooms, olives, and red peppers. It comes with fettuccini Alfredo on the side.
My husband ordered the Veal Saltimbocca.
It’s veal layered with Genoa salami, hot capicola and cheese and it’s dipped in egg batter and sauteed in sherry wine and mushroom sauce. Fettuccini Alfredo is on the side.
Everything was good and we were too full to try dessert.
The Reese’s PB&J cups come in strawberry jam and grape jam. I picked the strawberry jam because the grape one says right on the front artificially flavored so I thought the strawberry would be better? It’s marked U and D so it doesn’t contain any Castoreum so it’s safe to eat.
It looks different than the picture.
LOL – I thought the top would be embellished with peanut butter and jam.
I cut in half and I see the strawberry jam is near the bottom of the cup.
I try some.
It tastes mostly like a Reese’s Cup.
The strawberry jam doesn’t bring much to it.
It’s not terrible but the jam is a waste because it doesn’t have much flavor to it. It’s just there to give you less Reese’s.
Those were my FORKING Thoughts on Reese’s PB&J Strawberry Jam Big Cups. Your FORKING opinion may indeed differ.
Paris Baguette is a chain of bakeries that offer fresh baked pastries, cakes, breads, and cookies. They also offer grab and go sandwiches, coffee and tea. The Chinatown location offers indoor seating and outdoor seating.
In the grab and go sandwich section I noticed a tuna sandwich, various meat and cheese sandwiches, and this unusual Grilled Cheese Buffalo Chicken Sandwich (notice that Cheese is on the outside of the bread)
Here’s just a sampling of the goodies that await you.
Trattoria Nakamura-Ya is a Tokyo Style Italian Restaurant and that means if you are in Japan this is what you’d find if you are looking for an Italian Restaurant. This restaurant is small with limited seating inside. They are small but we did notice that they serve wine.
Awards grace the wall.
My husband started out with what they call spring rolls.
He thought the spring rolls seemed like they were tempura dipped. He thought they were cheese sticks with a little bit of Italian lunch meat in them.
I went with the lunch special –
I got a platter of Chicken Tatsuta-age, Chicken Katsu, Grilled Mackerel, Salad, and my choice of rice or bread and I went with rice.
I prefer the katsu (fried sliced chicken on ends of plate) over the tatsuta-age because it’s much more tender (dark meat) and is much more flavorful. The mackerel seems fresh but it is a strong tasting fish. The Salad seems very fresh but is kinda plain. The rice also tastes freshly made.
My husband tried the Pork Loin Tonkatsu made from that special Canadian refined red meat pork called Mugifusi. It also came with freshly prepared mixed vegetables.
So far what we tried was reasonably good.
I hope to return to try a pasta dish and fresh flown in fish from Japan.

Dining With DOGS is Just a “FLUFF” Story and is usually about taking my dogs out to eat. It sort of started with my late dog Louie. He always enjoyed going out to eat and when he got elderly he came down with aggressive cancer. His doctor said he probably only had three months to live or possibly up to 6 months. Since Louie couldn’t do much and still enjoyed eating out I took him out to eat as often as possible and Louie made it another 17 months. Today I take my current dogs out to eat when I can and when the weather is right.
We got lucky and had a cooler day and went to SNS Diner BBQ. If they seem familiar to you then maybe you saw them on Food Network’s Diners Drive Ins and Dives.
The Dogs got to eat some of my husband’s three meat plate (bbq pork, bbq brisket, sausage, and some macaroni and cheese. (later they will get some cornbread with honey butter)
They also got some chicken from my chicken tacos and the cheese on the side from my chicken tacos.
They always enjoy SNS Diner BBQ

We had a day under 90 degrees so we tried the Hawaiian Barbecue #1 again. It was reasonably good our first 6 visits and then last time we thought it was just a bad day but tried them again hoping they’d be good again.
I got my usual maui maui healthier salad.
It’s mostly edible but not so good today. It’s very greasy with dried up fish. It has grease dropped all over the salad, fish, and egg.
The egg also has a blue stain on it.
I’m afraid to eat it and am also afraid to give my dogs but I only give them a little bit of the fish.
“UGGG! Not so good”
“Guess we won’t be returning”

Now it’s hot here so we took the dogs for a car ride to get an In-N-Out Cheeseburger.
“We enjoy the car ride and will be enjoying a cheeseburger soon!”
“tear me off a piece”
“Here it comes”
“My turn”
“I’m waiting”
“We’ll be doing lots of In-N-Out this summer”

It was too hot to dine out with dogs so today they got a car ride and a Burger King Burger.
They look excited to get a cheeseburger…..We added the cheese from home because the cheese pulls off the Burger when we remove the bread for the dogs.
Dogs got another ride to Burger King and got another burger.
We did take out from Nom Pang (a Cambodian Restaurant) so the dogs could get another car ride and eat some of the food.

The Forking TruthIn Memory of Louie 5-5-2001 – 3-3-2017
Naxos Taverna + Kallisto Oyster Bar is a contemporary Greek Style Seafood Focused Restaurant located in the Red Rock Casino in Las Vegas Nevada. They were offering a three course Restaurant Week (June 2-20th 2025 But manager told us this offer was extended again to June 22 2025……(?) …….(I have not found that info posted anywhere…?) Lunch for $40. so we decided to give it a try. It’s beautiful inside.
I started out and asked for Iced Tea.
It came out warm with no ice. I asked for ice.
My husband’s first course was oysters (east coast & west coast).
He said he liked the west coast oysters more than the east coast oysters because they had a brinier stronger flavor.
I tried a Greek Salad.
YIKES! The pickled shallot is so strong I can’t eat it. I really only like the raw tomatoes because they tastes like good heirloom tomatoes. The feta cheese is too salty for me and it tastes like they added extra salt to the cheese. The cucumbers are ok but taste old.
My husband tried the Seafood Linguini ($10. extra)
He said it was made with one extra hard over cooked shrimp (cut in pieces), over cooked clams, and he thinks it was missing the crab.
I tried the Lavraki (Greek Sea Bass).
The fish is cooked nicely but is way too salty for my taste. The tiny tomatoes help some.
For dessert we shared the Froyo and the Date Spice Cake.
Not much flavor in the Froyo and the cake was very dry with little flavor.
Zaytinya is a Mediterranean Restaurant by Chef José Andrés. The Las Vegas Location is in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada. They offer a main menu and a chef’s experience menu. On the night of my visit it was still Restaurant Week and a special Restaurant Week Menu (June 2-20th 2025) was also being offered. (Zaytinya translates to Olive Oil in Greek).
It’s modern and attractive inside. Below is the bar area.
Below pictured is part of the Dining Area-
Whatever you order they start you off with pita breads and oil embellished with balsamic.
The pitas are hallow and are more like balloon bread.
We started out with hummus, crisp vegetables (an added extra plate), and stuffed grape leaves called dolmades.
We both really enjoyed the crisp vegetables, and the amazing grape leaves. The grape leaves might have been the best I’ve tasted anywhere. I like the flavors in the hummus but not so much the texture because here it is very thick.
Next was a beet salad and Brussels sprouts.
The salad was good. The Brussels sprout had good flavors but the actual Brussels sprouts were served all dried out.
For my husbands main he had the Cumin Spiced Meatballs. He said they were really different but good.
I tried the salmon.
It was 2/3rds very good and 1/3rd awful……See next picture.
It’s hard for you to tell but this is a very small, very flat piece of fish and it is 1/3 bloodline (The dark meat pictured) Usually in nicer restaurants they remove the bloodline because it taste like bad fish.
Last course was dessert.
We both received Olive Oil Cakes that were very good.
We also received Greek Yogurts with Cherry that were interesting and different. We received the Greek Yogurts as a bonus plate because my husband complained about them sending all the plates of food to the table at once.
