Dining Out with DOGS in Las Vegas NV – April 2026

Dining Out With DOGS is just a “FLUFF” Story about taking my dogs out to eat. It all sort of started with my late dog Louie. He always enjoyed going out to eat. When Louie got elderly he came down with aggressive cancer. We were told that poor old sweet Louie only had about three months or possibly up to six months to live. I took dear old Louie out as often as I could and Louie made it another seventeen months. Today I take my current dogs out to eat when I can and when the weather is right.

We had record breaking HIGH HEAT in Vegas. It was best to take the dogs out for a ride and bring something back home. The dogs enjoyed a car ride to IN-N-OUT Burger. The bigger dog just swatted the smaller dog out of her way so she could look and see the burger action.

Look I think she is smiling.

Back to home because they could burn their paws on the hot patio there.

Time to eat –

I think the little one is making faces?

The dogs always enjoy a trip to IN-N-OUT Burger.

It was cool this week so we went to Those Guys Pies. If they sound familiar to you then maybe you saw them on Food Network’s Diners Drive Ins and Dives. They specialize in cheesesteaks and pizza. So of course my husband gets a cheesesteak here.

I usually get a lakeside salad with fried chicken.

Inside is a craft dog biscuit vending machine so we always get the dogs some craft biscuits. Today they got chicken craft biscuits.

A nice person working there brought out a bowl of water for my dogs.

Then they got to feast on fried chicken and some cheesesteak.

The dogs always love going to Those Guys Pies.

The following week it was a nice comfortable temperature but we had un usually high winds. So we did the car ride thing to In-N-Out Burger.

The Giant Aussie pushed the Beagle-Mix out of his seat so she could watch the burger action.

I think she is smiling.

They get some cheeseburger at home.

They always love cheeseburgers.

Weather was better and we drove to the California Fish Grill.

I shared grilled salmon from my grilled salmon salad with the dogs.

And my husband shared some of his battered fish and chips and shrimp skewer with the dogs too.

The dogs always enjoy the California Fish Grill.

Vegas Unstripped April 26 2026

Unstripped is a food Festival and for the 3rd year in a row took place at the Palms Casino Hotel. Only most of the best chefs in Las Vegas get invited to participate in this festival. Tickets started at $158. a person. To get into this food festival you must arrive EARLY. The festival starts at 6pm and you get in and wait your turn in line. If you want to get in early you wait in line starting at 5pm. We came at 5 and got in at 6. But many got in much latter and waited much longer in line.

I thought three dishes I tried were amazing, most were good, a few I didn’t care for, and one had steak on it that I couldn’t chew.

A few of our favorites in no particular order –

Parking was close, free and easy.

My Trip to Amador Cocina Fina Las Vegas NV

Amador Cocina Fina is a small fine dining Spanish Tapas Restaurant located in a busy part of Las Vegas Chinatown. They offer a regular menu.

A Tasting menu (or two?….They showed us one tasting menu but read in the paper that they have two tasting menus?

And they offer specials but our server didn’t mention them to us. We also didn’t see the special board because the help stand in front of the board when they are not busy.

Anyways –

The tables are set up with unique salsas to embellish the food.

We started with the Beets in an Achiote Creamy Sauce

It’s tasty different and good. But the next dish

Oyster Mushrooms Yakitori is much more exciting and way more delicious.

The flavors really bang! This is really different. Woodsy, smoky, tasty.

My husband enjoyed the Huevos Rotos (Egg, shrimp, house made potato chips)

I enjoyed the branzino. It was masterfully prepared with a crispy skin that stayed crispy. The sauce was very unique and different. It actually tasted better with the rice.

The only plate that both of us didn’t care for was called Flambe Tarte (pastrami, manchego cheese, caramelized onions and an ingredient not mentioned in the description Creme Fraiche)

We both couldn’t stomach this one and it was taken off the check. Mostly very good and some things amazing. We just didn’t care for the Flambe Tarte and thought that the service could be better.

That was our trip to Amador Cocina Fina.

Worth a try!

The April 17TH Wine Dinner at ai Pazzi with Fabio Viviani – Las Vegas NV

ai Pazzi is a fine dining Italian Restaurant located in the Resorts of Summerlin in Las Vegas Nevada. This restaurant is by celebrity chef Fabio Viviani. If he looks familiar to you then maybe you’ve seen him on Bravo Top Chef.

They offered a crazy great price ($65.00) for a multi course wine dinner with Chef Fabio Viviani so we had to reserve a spot and go.

First course was Beets with Goat Cheese and Bruschetta Romana with a glass of Gabbiano Prosecco.

Then rosemary embellished focaccia arrives. (just in time for the pastas)

Next are Lumache Vodka (Calabrian Chile Vodka Sauce with Aged Parmigiana and Burrata) and also Orecchiette (Italian Fennel & Spicy Sausage, Garlic Rapini, White Wine, Grana Padano)

We also had Gabbiano Chianti Classico Reserva with the pasta.

Main Course were-

Tuscan Style Filetto Di Manzi with herbed Demi and Roasted Chicken with potatoes and herb lemon butter sauce. This was also served with Belleza Chianti Classico Gran Selezione.

Then came a sweet ending.

Tiramisu, Fruit Pavlova, and a Lemon bomb. Everything was delicious and some things were amazing! We are glad we got to enjoy this!

My Trip to Mediterranean Latin Grill – Mostly Good Food but Poor Service Las Vegas NV

The Mediterranean Latin Grill is a small family ran casual restaurant located near to the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas Nevada. It is not a fancy place.

They offer unusual menu of kabobs, shawarma, gyros, pupusas, baleadas (Honduras flour tortilla with beans and cheese), wings, pizza, pasta, and more.

We ordered. We waited. Nobody brought out the bottled water I ordered so my husband got up and removed one from their refrigerator.

We were waiting a long time. (maybe a half hour goes by at this point.

Then the owners sit down to have lunch.

After they finish their lunch then they play with their phones and put on LOUD SPEAKER phones.

Around 50 or more minutes have passed and then our meals come out.

I noticed that everyone inside was speaking some sort of Latin so I went with the latin side of the menu and tried the Pollo Frito con Tajadas (Fried Chicken with Bananas). (I was asked if I wanted white meat or dark meat)

Actually the salad is very good and was made with house made still warm banana chips. The fried leg and thigh are very good (flavorful and juicy). But the fried chicken breast is all dried up and stringy.

My husband gets a gyro plate.

If you look close then you can see the meat is all dried up.

My husband won’t eat tahini sauce so he complained about the sauce on his plate. The girl did bring his plate back and gave him new gyro meat that was much better.

That was our trip to Mediterranean Latin Grill.

My Trip to Main St Provisions – Las Vegas NV

I haven’t tried Main St Provisions until now. I thought I’d better give them a try since their chef Ellie Parker recently won Hell’s Kitchen and also was James Beard Nominated under emerging chef. This restaurant is located downtown in the Arts District not far from the Las Vegas Strip. They have bar seating and traditional table seating with a view of the open kitchen. The menu is mostly American and features fresh seafood and steaks.

We went with a side dish of Maitake Mushrooms in a rich Bordelaise Sauce with Blue Cheese as our appetizer.

My husband really enjoyed this. It was his favorite plate.

For my main I went with the Fish of The Day (Sea Bass) in an English Pea Mint Sauce with Fennel and Asparagus Salad.

The fish is flaky and moist. The skin came out crispy but didn’t stay crispy. For my taste it’s the salad that pops with flavor the most. It’s quite good. The pickled fennel with the perfect texture of the asparagus is great. It has more flavor than the pea puree. But I enjoy the crunch from the panko.

My husband tried the Duck Breast.

He said this dish lacked flavor. He said he could hardly tell that there was suppose to be an orange BBQ sauce. Also the duck was a little tough and he thought that this was a very small portion of food for him. He left hungry and mad and mad himself a hot dog when he got home.

Haochi by China Mama – CRAZY DELICIOUS CRISPY EGGPLANT STRIPS + the rest good too – Worth a Fork! Las Vegas NV

Haochi translates to delicious or good eats and the Crispy Eggplant Strips are certainly that. As of January 2026 there are 6 China Mama locations serving up Chinese and Chinese Fusion Foods. I’ve read that each location offers a slightly different menu. So far I’ve made it to three different locations. YES each experience was different. Here is the most different and might not be for everyone because you order on a tablet. (This can be difficult for some people) PRO TIP They are slow on Sundays at Lunch Time. The Server has more time to help you on Sundays at Lunch Time.

Anyways –

We tried three plates. They also came out at various times.

First came out the Kung Pao Chicken (you can order mild, regular with heat, or extra spicy. I ordered regular heat and it was plenty spicy) (Rice is $1. extra)

The chicken is nice and tender. It’s infused with flavors and heat and isn’t too sweet. It really does tastes better than many other kung pao dishes we’ve tried.

A good ten minutes latter the Sizzling Beef in Black Pepper Sauce comes out.

The Beef is nice and tender but tastes more like soy sauce than black pepper.

Then maybe 10 or 15 minutes latter the Crispy Eggplant Strips Arrived.

They should re-name this dish to HAOCHI EGGPLANT because it is INSANELY DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! It’s sweet and spicy and everything wonderful. The eggplant is so creamy and sweet and is surrounded by a thin caramelized crunch. You can mix this with almost any other Chinese Dish to make it taste better. We ate almost 1/2 of the dishes and took the rest home for dinner. The Kung Pao Chicken and the Sizzling Beef in Black Pepper Sauce both re-heated perfect. The Eggplant dish still was amazing tasting but lost the caramelized crunch.

I’d say Haochi by China Mama is Worth a Fork! (if you get the crispy eggplant strips)

The FORKING Truth is that Many Las Vegas Restaurants Open Later than Posted Hours

This has happened several times previously but it just so happens that in the last three weeks I experienced three restaurants opening late and a fourth restaurant not open after a day after a grand opening.

Anyways

We were going to Pizza Nation. They were suppose to open at 12:00 on Sundays. We arrived just after 12:00 and saw chairs up on tables, nobody inside, and locked doors. We left and went someplace else.

The very next week tried to go to Hummus Vegas. They still (as of me typing this) have hours posted of 11:00 – 7pm Sunday – Thursday

SEE SIX LINES DOWN

We arrived a little after 11:00 and someone in there tells up that they don’t open till 12:00 s we left and went someplace else.

The following week.

Wanted to go back to Taste of Gujarat. The OPEN sign was on but the doors were locked. We knocked. My husband called. Nobody answered. They opened an hour latter.

Across from Taste of Gujarat was Grill Nine. I heard many great things about this restaurant so I thought it was a convenient second choice.

It was suppose to open April 1st. We were here April 2nd and it’s still not open.

The FORKING Truth is that many Las Vegas Restaurants open later than posted.
