I came across the Numb and Spicy Hot Pot of Lay’s Potato Chips at the Mekong International and Asian Market in Mesa Arizona. I thought that I had to give this interesting flavor of potato chips a try.
The bag looks like this on the back. It’s all in Chinese with a sticker of the ingredients in English.
Here are the ingredients.
It seems safe to eat so I open the bag and take a whiff.
It smells sort of liquorish with other aromas that remind me of fried Chinese Food.
The chips have ridges with a powdery coating. If you look closely you can see little dark specks.
Ok now I taste one….It is hot and spicy. I get mostly spicy hot at first but not too hot. I get spicy, salty and some sweet. It kinda taste like spicy Asian Fish soup. It’s not too fishy but is reminds me of fish essence…that is spicy and is mixed with flavors that are Asian Style. There is an allspice taste. The heat and flavors pass and the allspice builds……… It’s pretty darn good…..If it had less allspice it would be really great!
Those were My Forking Thought on the Lay’s Numb and Spicy Hot Pot Flavor Potato Chips.

Well That was the NEW, WEIRD, DIFFERENT, Limited and Special Edition Foods out there for September 2019. I don’t know What the Fork I’ll come across next month.
These White Chocolate Pumpkin Pie M&M’s were out perviously (last fall or the fall before I forget) but this is one flavor I skipped. I thought I’d try them this year.
I start by opening the bag and taking a whiff.
I see that I got lots of broken pieces of M&M’s all over.
They are mostly larger and slightly irregular in shape….compared to standard M&M’s. They come in colors of white, orange and a brown that looks just like dog doo colored.
Now I smell them.
It smells familiar………sort of like a spice cookie but with sour cream cheese frosting.
I taste one…this is kinda gross………It’s really greasy……Maybe I just got a bad batch…..or maybe these spoiled in the truck making its way to 110 degree F Phoenix.
This taste like FORKING greasy artificial GINGER BREAD with molasses and sour cream cheese frosting.
This doesn’t taste like Pumpkin Pie.
I wonder if this flavor was concocted from other leftover flavors?
I don’t know WTFork they’ve done here but I imagine that it could be possible that I am tasting some sort of carrot cake flavor that is possibly mixed with gingerbread.
This one just doesn’t taste good.
There’s an unpleasant after taste from this one.
BLECH! These are sickening!…….and they are greasy gross.
On the bright side I know that I am not going to gain any weight from these M&M’s.
I have to give these White Chocolate Pumpkin Pie M&M’s a Not Worth a Fork!

Here are Lay’s Stax Cucumber Flavor Potato Crisps. They are from China and I purchased them from the Mekong Market in Mesa AZ. I thought cucumber was an interesting flavor for a potato chip so I had to try it.
These Chinese Lay’s Chips come in a little tray in the can.
When I open the can I take a whiff and they really do smell like cucumber.
Look at the ingredients.
They seem safe to eat……
Take a close look at the chips.
The first thing I notice is that these chips are very small…..maybe a 1/3 smaller than a Pringle type chip. The other thing I notice is that these chips have a rough bumpy lumpy texture and feel slightly powdered.
I slowly taste one.
For a second it taste just like cucumber….but it’s sweet……and then becomes unflavored in an instant……..really unflavorered……..I don’t get salt…I don’t even taste potato…….I get a weird light lumpy textured unflavored chip to eat.
Then I munch one down.
The cucumber flavor last though the munching……..but this way I get a greasy mouth I didn’t get before. My lips are greasy now too……..ummmm I’m still getting cucumber in my mouth after I finish a couple chips.
Don’t eat these chips slow….You have to munch them to get the flavor.
I’d rate these Lay’s Cucumber Chips as Worth a try!
There is ALWAYS something NEW, Different, Weird, Limited and Special Edition out there in the wonderful world of food. When I go out to a store I never know WTFork I’ll come across. Here’s something DIFFERENT! Up above is Jell-o brand no bake S’Mores Dessert…..(s’mores give me the he-be-je-bees)….but these s’mores are made with margarine (might as well be Forking vasoline) and artificial flavor…..YUM! We all LOVE artificial flavor……Who the Fork wants real chocolate anywho?

White we are on Coke there’s a lot of Forking DIFFERENT Coke on the shelves these days…….Blueberry açaí, strawberry guava, ginger lime, feisty cherry, zesty blood orange, twisted mango and all the other Forking Cokes.
Aussie Outback naturally flavored Mango Coconut Licorice sounds tasty and DIFFERENT……but I didn’t buy it.
Jelly Belly Candy Cones are DIFFERENT and WEIRD ….?…….but WHY?

Different – Taali Water Lily Pops in Tikka Masala, White Cheddar and Tangy Turmeric….I bought the Tikka Masala…wow…very flavorful and also spicy…..really good but you can’t eat too many because they are very intense with flavor.
DIFFERENT – Vegan Rob’s makes Brussel Sprout Puffs, Cauliflower Puffs and Beet Puffs…….I didn’t buy any but maybe next time I’ll try one….They sound intriguing…..Think I’d try the beet puffs.
DIFFERENT – Kettle Heroes Artisan Small Batch Prickly Pear Kettle Corn…..sounds tasty but I don’t know if it is….
Popcornpolis Apple Pie Pop Corn …This is DIFFERENT………..

Here’s Farmer’s Pantry Steak & Fries that is beef jerky and French fry crisps and also Farmer’s Pantry Bacon and Cornbread Crisps…that’s bacon jerky and cornbread crisps…….I’d say these are weird……
DIFFERENT – I’m certain that Korean Sea Salt has been around forever but I don’t usually come across it.
WEIRD – Here’s Hunts Ketchups……On the right is Hunts best ever Ketchup in Thicker and Richer…….On the left is Hunts Ketchup that must be old and lousy….Look at right hand corner of bottles…..both read 20 servings but the bottle on the right is almost twice as big WTFork!…(1 lb 4oz and a 2 lb bottle).

I saw these NEW Creepy Cocoa Crisp M&M’s at my local Target Store. These Creepy Cocoa Crisp M&M’s are exclusive to Target Stores. This flavor is described on the package as a cocoa crisp center with a layer of dark chocolate. I look at the package and notice that this is the first new or limited edition flavor of M&M’s in a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG Time…….maybe many years (or decades) that doesn’t say with artificial flavor on the front of package.
I look at the ingredients…..and get excited……..Looks very promising…..
I open the package up and take a sniff.
It smells just like a bag of chocolate chips.
I pour some M&M’s out.
These are smaller sized and slightly irregular in shape. They come in colors of yellow, red and brown.
I eat one……Ummmm It’s chocolatey and crunchy. It reminds me of the “Crispy” variety of M&M’s but it taste like chocolate chips and a little bit of hot cocoa flavor.
I eat another and let this one melt in my mouth. It had the usual sweet candy shell. Then I’m left with chocolate that taste like a chocolate chip. Then the chocolate melts away and I’m left with a small crispy chocolate cereal lump in my mouth. The chocolate lump taste similar to what I think I remember a cocoa puff taste like. (it’s been decades since I ate a Cocoa Puff)
I bit into a few so you can see what they look like inside.
DANG !!!!!!! It’s Forking easy to keep eating them. They seem lighter and airier than regular M&M’s with a good chocolate taste……They have the right amount of sweetness, salt and are ever so slightly bitter with that chocolate chip flavor and a smidgen of hot cocoa…… It’s actually hard to stop eating them!
I’d say these new Creepy Cocoa Crisp M&M’s are Worth a Fork! These are good enough to be a permanent M&M flavor.

Yogurt used to be a healthy food that hippies ate…..in the old days even hippies on drugs would add their own healthy nuts and berries to yogurt. Today’s morons are too lazy to add their own nuts and berries to yogurt and prefer to pay more for someone else to add something to their yogurt.
Here’s Yoplait in Dunkin’ (Donut Shop) inspirations of Boston Kreme Donut, Apple Fritter, French Vanilla Latte and Cinnamon Coffee Roll. Who the Fork needs healthy yogurt? Just grab a spoon eat a half gallon of ice cream with a sack of donuts and let it all hang out!

DANG….I didn’t get the special edition Ritz in my photo…there is another row of crackers. I took the picture because I couldn’t believe how many varieties of Ritz crackers were on the shelves….I am missing some of what I saw but here are original, bacon, everything, garlic butter, roasted vegetable, honey something, hint of salt and reduced fat……There’s FORKING more too…….dang….Ritz has gone crackers….

What is life worth without a NEW Forking Oreo! Here’s NEW Dark Chocolate flavor creme Oreo Cookies! Well that was the New, Weird, Different, Limited and Special Edition Foods Out there for June 2019. I don’t know WTFork I’ll come across next month.
There’s a NEW permanent flavor of M&M’s out there and it’s Hazelnut Spread. The M&M’s colors are the traditional ones of yellow, orange, green, blue, red and brown with the usual smooth shiny finish.
The bag is a little weird looking if you’re not paying attention.
Honest to GOD I thought the Blue M was holding a Poop emoji……but maybe I need bifocals now so maybe it’s just me?????
I start by opening the bag and take in a big sniff.
It smells like chocolate.
Pour some out and take a bite to see the center.
They do look a little different with a lighter center.
I eat a couple……..
The texture is different and these M&M’s have a soft center…..at first they don’t taste so different from regular M&M’s. They seem like regular M&M’s but that are oddly soft…….and a faint hazelnut aftertaste.
Then I let one dissolve in my mouth…..At first not any different with the same hard sweet shell. Then I taste the familiar chocolate……Oddly it isn’t till I’m almost done I get the hazelnut….followed by a little salt.
These Hazelnut Spread M&M’s are better to savor than to eat…..
Now if you let them dissolve real SUPER SLOW…….Shell melts….next goes the soft chocolate….next you are left with all hazelnut center that oddly seems slightly harder than really soft chocolate……You definitely get the hazelnut best when you eat them this way….
If you are just eating the M&M’s like a normal person……. The hazelnut flavor is a very good and natural flavor but I wish the hazelnut flavor wasn’t so late to the party. Can’t taste it till the M&M is almost gone and then the hazelnut hit comes followed by a light touch of salt.
************Unless you let these M&M’s dissolve slow as can be you won’t get all the hazelnut flavor.********** (well at least from the bag I tried)

NEW- Fiber One Strawberries and Vanilla Clusters……? Never tried the Flake version of this cereal……..But decades back I tried whatever they made then that looked like rabbit kibble…..wow was it bad………it was like eating wood.

NEW- Haagen-Dazs Spirits Ice Creams in Amaretto Black Cherry (this is an old flavor that got discontinued many years back…..it used to be delicious!), Rum Tres Leches, Irish cream Brownie, Stout Chocolate Pretzel Crunch and Bourbon Vanilla Bean Truffle. They don’t have enough alcohol in them to give you a buzz….even if you eat the whole container……but they sound like they taste delicious.
