Notable Dish Of The Week – Japanese Baby Peaches from – Bazaar Mar by Jose Andres – Las Vegas NV

Bazaar Mar is a Seafood Tapas Restaurant with Spanish Embellishments by multi award wining and Michelin Stared Chef and Restauranteur Jose Andres and Team. This week it was quite hard to pick the notable dish since almost any from Bazaar Mar could be the Notable dish. A close choice for me would have been the mini fish shaped sandwich on a special hallow bread called bagel and lox. It was really exciting but the Japanese Peaches with za’atar were also extra exciting.

Japanese Baby Peaches from Bazaar Mar

The little green fruits are the Japanese Peaches. The plate also contains stracciatella cheese, hazelnuts, little crunchy bites, fresh green leaves, and za’atar.

You are suppose to gather one of each on your spoon to eat it.

It’s so interesting…..So different……It’s also light and refreshing.

A Little Taste Of Aromi Italian Restaurant Las Vegas NV

Aromi Italian Restaurant is located in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas NV. They offer most of your favorite Italian dishes but also offer a very large lunch menu with lots of choices.

They also started us off with toasted bars of rosemary bread and our choice of oil or butter (we picked oil).

I thought that the bread was good but the oil had something bitter in it that I found unappetizing….

I tried the lunch Branzino.

The fish was prepared reasonably well and did come out with a shattering crisp skin, fancy carrots and asparagus spears in a lemon butter caper sauce. It looks nice this way but the skin would have stayed crisp if the fish wasn’t placed skin side down.

My husband got the mushroom raviolis with short rib.

He said that the ravioli were made nicely. The short rib was good and succulent. Probably great for most people but fattier than I can eat.

Bazaar Mar Las Vegas NV – Seafood Tapas by Jose Andres & Team – AMAZING – Worth a Fork!

Bazaar Mar is a Seafood Tapas Restaurant with Spanish Embellishment by Multi Award Wining and Michelin Stared Chef and Restauranteur Jose Andres and Team. The Las Vegas Location is located in The Shops At Crystals on the Las Vegas Strip.

There’s a large bar that sits in the middle of the restaurant.

At the end of the bar area is an open kitchen with today’s fresh flown in fish on display.

We start out with two River Trout Cones embellished with very light smoke, preserved lemon, and fresh dill.

My husband enjoys Jamon Iberico ham so he had a Jose’s Taco (Jamon Iberico De Bellota, Ossetna Caviar, gold leaf, and nori)

This one was hard to share but possibly was my favorite small bite of the evening.

This is listed under mini sandwiches. It’s called bagel and lox and is made with Russ & Daughters smoked salmon. It’s a hallow but very crisp fish shaped bread with seeds. It’s filled with the airiest cream cheese ever. The bread is topped with silky lox that is embellished with crisp capers and fresh dill.

This one was great too but also was my husband’s favorite small bite plate. It’s the Bluefin Tuna and fried quail egg. It’s in a soy dashi broth with nori.

It might not look so small but you roll up the fish around the quail egg to eat it and it turns into a small bite.

Next was our main plate. We shared a grilled branzino type fish. it sits in a donostiarra sauce (Spanish sauce possibly made with parsley, sherry vinegar, garlic, and paprika) and is topped with sliced garlic and sea salt.

I accidentally got a few bites with too much salt for my taste but most of the fish was very good and melted in the mouth.

We also shared an incredible plate of Japanese Baby Peaches (with stracciatella cheese, hazelnuts, something crunchy, and za’atar).

It’s so interesting and so different! It’s also sort of light and refreshing. You are suppose to get a little bit of everything on your spoon and try it that way.

I thought the perfect dessert for tonight was the Arroz Con Leche Merengon (Meringue, Arroz Con Leche Espuma (foam), blood orange granita, Thai Basil)

It was light and refreshing. I thought it went perfect with all the plates we tried.

Then it was somebody’s birthday so they gave us this and two complimentary sparkling wines.

Service was amazing and the food was just incredible!

Bazaar Mar is certainly Worth a Fork!

Notable Dish of The Week – Funghi Fritti from Bramare – Las Vegas NV

Bramare is a newly opened modern Italian Inspired restaurant located about ten minutes from the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada. They serve incredible dishes and I was torn between three dishes they served me. They served the most amazing salmon collar I ever had anywhere. The only reason that isn’t the notable dish of the week is because the cucumber salad they paired with the salmon collar was good but was a bit stronger with flavors and was a little too strong for the fish. The other crazy great dish was the broccolini that had taste and textures like no other……I went with the Funghi Fritti because it was absolutely perfect and had maybe the most going on with it. It was these unusual honshimeji mushrooms that were lightly coated and fried with a crisp but extra thin coating. They were dressed with a garlic Chile sauce and also were embellished with pecorino cheese. This is a really great dish that almost anyone would enjoy.

The Notable Dish of the week was the Funghi Fritti from Bramare.

My Trip To Servehzah Bottle Shop & Tap Room North Las Vegas NV

Servehzah Bottle Shop and Tap Room’s original location is in the Las Vegas Arts District and a second location is in North Las Vegas Nevada. Besides all kinds of craft beers they also offer food. Some of the offerings are shareable snacks like nachos, chips and dips, quesadillas. The specialty plates are the protein bowl and the street hot dog. They also offer tacos, burritos, desserts, and a few brunch dishes.

The North Las Vegas Location has an outdoor patio.

Inside is spacious with a bar and tables but there is no wait service. In the middle of the room is a refrigerator with many cans of beer. At the bar are many beer taps. They also have many big screen TVs across the room.

They also have these cards on the tables to remind you to order and pay at the bar.

My husband tried 4 tacos. (asada, chicken, shrimp, bang bang cauliflower)

They look good but taste is another story. All four arrive cold. Nothing was heated up. We don’t know but the fried ones (shrimp & cauliflower) have a breading that is wet, cold, and falling apart. Don’t know but they seem premade and frozen and didn’t thaw right?

I tried a specialty dish the protein bowl with chicken (that also arrived all cold).

The only parts that I can stomach are the avocado, chick peas, and fried onion. Something is also wrong with the dressing….It’s hard like cold cream cheese and doesn’t pour or taste edible.

I do NOT plan to ever return to Servehzah Bottle Shop & Tap Room nor do I recommend.

Bites Of Europe – Las Vegas NV – Pierogi, Schnitzel, Cabbage Rolls – Worth a Try!

Bites of Europe is a European Style Restaurant and Bar in Las Vegas Nevada.

They offer European Style foods that you might be familiar with like pierogi, schnitzel, and cabbage rolls. They also offer some Other Foods that you might not expect like Norwegian Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs, Lunch Paninis, Pumpernickel Fries, and Fish and Chips.

We started out by sharing the Norwegian Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs.

They are milder softer deviled eggs embellished with dill and capers wrapped with smoked salmon. Good but I personally would have preferred the capers to be fried crisp instead of fried moist.

We also shared the fried potato and cheese pierogi.

These pierogi are fried very nicely and also come with very good caramelized onions. The pierogi dough here is whisper thin. Inside is different…. I don’t really taste the cheese but I can tell some dairy is mixed into the potato filling. My guess is that maybe a little bit of Farmer’s Cheese might have been used here?

For our main we share the Turkey and Rice Cabbage Rolls (no sour cream at my request). With mashed potatoes.

The sauce is much thicker and a lot less sweet than what I’m used to. Inside seems mostly like ground turkey…..tasty

We have to try the dessert of the day that was lemon semifreddo with peaches.

It was a nice sweet ending to a nice meal out.

Bramare Las Vegas NV – Worth a Fork!

Bramare is a fine dining Italian Inspired restaurant, cocktail, and wine bar located in Las Vegas Nevada only about ten minutes from the strip. They are open for dinner and late night dinner. Some of the food they offer are small plates that serve one to two people like onion focaccia with olive-caper spread, king salmon collar with Calabrian chile and agrodolce. A couple of the medium plates that serve around two to three people are things like wagyu hanger steak, and brick oven chicken. They also offer large plates that might serve four or more people such as porchetta with root vegetables and salsa verde, and twenty eight day dry aged Flannery rib steak. They also offer a variety of pastas, pizzas, and more.

It seems dark when you walk in and you notice that there are no visible windows inside.

Instead of candles they have these spiffy thin lanterns that light up the table surface really great.

We shared several small plates-

Funghi Fritti – with garlic and Chile sauce, pecorino cheese – the honshimeji mushrooms have a thin crisp coating and are delicious with all the flavors and a mild heat.

Fresh baked Onion Focaccia with olive caper dip – tasty

King Salmon Collar with Calabrian spicy cucumbers and agrodolce. The salmon is caramelized and MELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH amazing and also delicious with interesting flavors. I do like the spicy cucumber salad but for my taste it is overpowering for the salmon so I ate them separate.

For our main we shared a medium plate of Beef Cheek Brasato with chili, verde fregola, and parsley salad.Tender beef and the parsley salad adds a nice fresh taste to it. LOTS of tasty firm fregola…This one can stretch to three servings.

With the beef cheek brasato we also had a small plate of broccolini.

This broccolini is really great!!!!! It’s a mix of crunchy and cooked with tasty flavors from black garlic cream, breadcrumbs, and pecorino cheese……

We were pretty full but decided to try hazelnut and pistachio gelato.

It was a nice sweet ending.

Cafe Breizh is located in Las Vegas Nevada. They offer fine French Baked Goods, some grocery, and also serve breakfast and some French Cafe Type Meals like galettes, crepes, salads, hot & cold sandwiches, and platters.

As you enter you get so see so many pastries……

YIKES! This is only a small fraction of what to see…………What to get? think I’m gaining weight just looking at all of them.

Then you make it to the dining room if you are ordering a meal.

My husband tried to order the croque madame but we were told they were all sold out of them today so he went with the La Tartiflette Galette not knowing that it was a buckwheat crepe……In America galettes are flat pies.

This Galette is stuffed with prosciutto, roblechon cheese, potatoes, onion, and cream.

I tried a salmon platter.

I got toasted brioche bread, smoked salmon with capers, cucumber slices, sweet tomatoes with onions, lemon, and chive cream.

I thought both desserts we tried were fabulous!
