Most of the BEST from Las Vegas NV Restaurants I’ve been to 2025

This is most of the best from this past 2025 year. (I said most because I might have forgotten a few or a few of the best were so recent that I didn’t get to add them in yet)

Maybe the best Ceviche I tried was the Ceviche Pescado from Moia Peruvian Restaurant.

One of the very best plates that I tasted this year was the spicy chicken won tons from Din Tai Fung a Taiwanese Restaurant that is located in the Aria Hotel/Casino.

The sauce is FORKING AMAZING is a YUM BOMB!

The Best Bread that I tasted in Las Vegas this year was from Monzu Italian Oven & Bar.

The bread is made from a 300 year old natural family starter from apricots and the bread takes five days to prepare. They serve it was house made ricotta and seasoned oil.

One of the BEST Vegetable Dishes was The Winter Squash from The Pepper Club that kept changing their menus and is no more as of December 20TH 2025.

The Squash were embellished with brown butter, sage, pomegranate molasses and gorgonzola dolce cheese.

The Salmon Katsu from Ton Shou Katsu & Izakaya was Spectacular!

Their Pork Katsu was just as spectacular so I heard.

A really great unusual dish was the Japanese Baby Peaches from Bazaar Mar by Jose Andres.

Japanese Baby Peaches from Bazaar Mar

One of the Best Pastrami Sandwiches was this house made one from Wild Fig BBQ.

The other best Pastrami Sandwich was the one from Wexler’s in the food court in The Aria Hotel/Casino.

I do note that I had the Wexlers three times over the past year and each time it differed some. The Wild Fig Pastrami sandwich only differed in the amount of fat in the pastrami on different visits.

The Goat Cheese in spicy tamarind sauce with pistachios and fried pita breads are so darn tasty that I have to get it every time I go to Flecha Cantina. (Just thought of the Goat Cheese with onion Jam that French Restaurant Oh La La French Bistro makes. That one is also Bomb Delicious)

Another FORKING Tasty appetizer is the Golden Pouches from Lemongrass & Lime.

Golden Pouches
FAMOUS Crispy Spinach Salad from Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen

The other most amazing Thai Appetizer is the Crispy Spinach Salad from Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen….It’s the spicy limey bright sauce with cashews that so crazy good.

Maybe the best Thai Entrees came from What’s Zaap Thai Food.

What’s Zaap Thai Food was Amazing. Best Spicy Basil and surprisingly Great Green Curry Salmon

The Salmon was so darn masterful in a great green curry sauce and the Pad Gra Pow was the best I’ve tasted in Las Vegas So Far.

(Just remembered the fish dish from Skye Thai should be here with the crispy basil)

Another BEST was the 4 course dinner from Ferraro’s Ristorante. Every Plate was spectacular and perfect.

The Wagyu Beef Sker from Ginza Izakaya Japanese Restaurant

The Wagyu Beef Skewer from Ginza Izakaya Japanese Restaurant was flavorful and melted in the mouth like no other…..(but the pork belly Skewer was all dried out)

Chicken Francese from Ciao Vino Ristorante
The Bundino from Ciao Vino

The Bundino was extra delicious and flavorful from Ciao Vino

Best Salmon came from Matteo’s in the Palazzo Venetian

best Salmon – Silky moist fresh medium prepared and Skin that was seasoned and cooked down like a tasty potato chip that stayed crisp. – From Matteo’s Italiano’s Italiano Ristorante. There were a few really great salmon plates but this one was the very best of all.

Also from Matteo’s –

Ligurian Focaccia from Matteo’s Italiano Ristorante

This is like a ballon bread filled with melted Crescenza cheese. It was amazing and light as air from Matteo’s Italiano Ristorante. This might be the most amazing plate of the year. Too bad that it is only periodically on the menu.

Shawarma Vegas is one of my favorites for casual Mediterranean Food that happens to be kosher.

So far they make the BEST falafels, Best fluffy Pitas, BEST Beef Kabobs, and every Chicken dish was as GREAT as Possible.

The other great Mediterranean (also kosher) makes the best steak and ultra good chicken came from a kosher restaurant called Tikva’s Grill.

They both had delicious deep flavors, were tender and so darn juicy. (Oh and the fries were notably great too!)

BEST Indian food came from Taste of Gujarat.

The other best Indian-ish Contemporary Food came from Tamba Contemporary Indian Restaurant.

Now I am spoiled. I want all Indian Food to be this perfect and layered with flavors.

Best Plates of the year from a Special Dinner Event from Crossroads Kitchen. It was their Vegan Italian 5 course Dinner with guest Chefs Michael Voltaggio, Rocco DiSpirito, and Tal Ronnen.

The Pasta Nero was insanely SCRUMPTIOUS! with Morel calamari, Sea Bean Powder, and Arrabiata emulsion.

Even the Eggplant Milanese deserves a spot here.

The flavors were so unexpected. Even the lemon was juicy like no other.

And the Croccante Alle Nocciole was such a layered amazing dessert like no other.

A Special Mention must go to Rang’s Cocina Moderne. We go there regularly and all the dishes and all the service is VERY GOOD each and every time we go there.

These were most of the VERY BEST Plates of 2025 from Las Vegas NV.

My Trip to Italo Pizza and Kosher Kitchen – Las Vegas NV

Italo Pizza and Kosher Kitchen is located in Las Vegas Nevada just above Summerlin. This is a small casual place and is not fancy. This is also a Kosher Dairy Restaurant. No meat other than fish is offered here. They offer PIZZA, shakshuka, salads, sandwiches, pasta, fish platters, soft beverages, malt beer and more.

The owner Hezi might be the one waiting on you. He is very friendly and starts you off with some complimentary peanuts mixed with pistachios to start out with.

Then the rest is up to you.

We tried a plain small pizza.

Falafels, Hummus, a vegetable pasta salad, and Fluffy Pita Bread.

And a Salmon Platter.

Most of the food really did taste better than it looks. Everything was at least good. Most notable was the fluffy pita bread that was very good and the generous portion of salmon that was cooked from frozen. It came moist and fresh tasting and was much better than from many places.

The owner is opening a Kosher Meat Restaurant Next Door.

The Cantina 24/7 Bar Restaurant Gaming (Centennial) Las Vegas NV – Worth a Try!

The Cantina is a 24/7 Bar, Restaurant, and Gaming type place with a couple locations in Las Vegas Nevada. The Centennial Location offers a limited Mexican Food Menu and also Smash Burgers. Inside it’s kinda dark with Day of the Dead Decor, Big Screen TVs, and Country Music filling the air.

They start you off with a basket of chips and two very good but spicy salsas.

My husband starts out with a carnitas taco (but without the avocado).

He said that it was VERY GOOD!

We also shared a chicken & steak fajita. Below is the rice, refried beans, pico, sour cream, and guacamole.

Below are can tortillas

Below is the chicken and steak fajita. (they said that they needed to add on more steak so a few minutes latter they ran out a little more steak.)

This fajita is VERY GOOD. The chicken is moist, tender, and flavorful. The steak is tender with a DELICIOUS char. I think that this is the best steak I ever had for a fajita.

The Cantina is certainly Worth a Try!

The 702 Sandwich Shop is located in the north part of the Summerlin part of Las Vegas Nevada. This small restaurant was formally known as La Cantine French Sandwich Shop. They offer a limited menu of sandwiches made on French style house baked breads, a few varieties of quiche (maybe? no quiche anymore? wasn’t on menu but they were soon to close for a long vacation?), soup, salad, and macarons (and a few other desserts). Below is the latest menu. (***Temporary closed for vacation. reopens January 5-2026)

It’s casual and you order and pay at the counter or do take out like most people I saw.

Some of the things we tried were –

The FORKING Las Vegas Food Buzz of the Week

Taste of Gujarat is an amazing Indian Restaurant in Las Vegas. We enjoyed everything from the atmosphere to all the food that we tried there. They serve full flavored Indian Foods that really bang with bold flavors and some heat.

It was worth the drive across town to dine here.

We also enjoyed some of the best burgers in town from Holsteins Shakes and Buns. I was told that the patties are fresh ground in house wagyu and chuck. They offer many interesting toppings and on both our visits we never had an over cooked a burger.

In other food news –

2025 Horrific Foods – Las Vegas NV

These are most of the BAD Plates from This Year. I may have forgotten a few?

These are the most Horrific Foods I tried since last year.

Louie Louie Fried Chicken Sandwich

The Louie Louie Fried Chicken Sandwich was over sauced and made with chicken that was so dry it could make you choke. (maybe that is why they over sauced the sandwich?)

This Coconut Chicken from Hawaiian Barbecue (pictured below) had a sauce on it that made me gag and the better chicken nuggets were dry and stingy. The dryer ones were hard as rocks.

The Potato & Cheddar Pierogi from Pierogi Village

The Potato & Cheddar Pierogi had unknown meats in it from Pierogi Village – BLECH!

Caesar Salad from Balla Italian Soul

The worst Caesar Salad was from Balla Italian Soul. Because NOBODY wants their Caesar Dressing to taste like Ranch Dressing with an anchovy garnish.

Broccolini from Balla Italian Soul

Also from Balla Italian Soul the spicy broccolini is very over seasoned and MUSHY…..NOBODY likes mushy smelly broccoli.

Reheated macaroni and cheese, red beans and rice without sauce Jerk Chicken and the toughest beef in the whole world came from Taste Budz Creole Kitchen. (Dang even a crocodile would have trouble here)

Also from Taste Budz Creole Kitchen was from the can deteriorating sweet potatoes and salmon that a fork can’t cut that is crusted with something like grill residue and taste horrible and is so hot and spicy that it is inedible. Maybe this restaurant is called Taste Budz because the owner lacks Taste Budz?

Ick! It taste how it looks – from NORMS

This next one doesn’t look bad but it was BAD. It was suppose to be a $24. ground in house prime rib burger …………But instead they served an over cooked nasty fast food tasting type burger from Carve Prime Rib at the Cannery Hotel/Casino.

From Chabelito’s Mexican Grill #3 I tried the Birria Ramen.

Birria Ramen from Chabelito’s

Then I almost turned into a pillar of salt from this non-edible salt bomb birria ramen.

Hot Garlic Szechuan Chicken from China Kitchen

So SWEET you can pour it on pancakes.

Kung Pao Beef from China Kitchen

The beef was so tough that you could BREAK YOUR TEETH.

When you need a steak knife to cut threw you snapper Florentine is pretty darn bad. (and they served it with a broken sauce too1)

Snapper Florentine Special from Bistro 57
Unseasoned hard as tire rubber chicken from Sushi Neko
Dried Out Beef Bulgogi from Sushi Neko

This next one doesn’t look bad but it was……The Hamachi Kama from Ginza Izakaya Japanese Restaurant was over cooked to the point where it was dry and stringy. (but their wagyu beef really was very good)

Hamachi Kama from Ginza Izakaya Japanese Restaurant

Also the Chicken Karaage was maybe the worst I ever had anywhere……..because it tasted unseasoned and floury and that you can see!

Chicken Karaage from Ginza Izakaya Japanese Restaurant

Cooper’s Kitchen & Tap served me the WORST Stir Fry Dish that was chuck full of Raw Dry Kale and a sauce that might have been created by a toddler.

The Stir Fry from Cooper’s Kitchen and Tap was awful and full of Raw Kale

Went back to the Hawaiian Barbecue because it actually used to be reasonably good and got this in my Maui Maui Healthier Salad.

It was scary awful and disgusting. If was like fried the fish and dripped oil all over the salad and egg. And WTFork is that BLUE on the egg?

Grizzle and Chicken joints from all the meats I tried from 8282 Korean BBQ

Those were the 2025 Horrific Foods of Las Vegas.

Just awful and NOT WORTH A FORK!

My Trip to Fisher’s Deli – Henderson Nevada

Fisher’s Deli is a small but busy Jewish Style Deli in Henderson Nevada (Around 30 minutes from Las Vegas). Off to the side of the dining area you can buy fresh baked goods and deli items.

They also offer some specials.

Today it was a 15 minute wait for a table.

I tried a whitefish platter today.

They ran it out before the cream cheese and onions were suppose to be added. I don’t know but think they gave me the wrong white fish. Usually you get a piece of fish not all these ends. It also doesn’t taste as fresh as I like. This is not a good example of a white fish plate.

The pastrami here is better than the whitefish. Also the potato salad lacks seasoning but is better than the cole slaw.

We also shared a knish. It tastes right but the crust is rubbery.

That was my Trip to Fisher’s Deli.

Harvest Cafe North Las Vegas – Breakfast & Lunch – Worth a Try

Harvest Cafe recently opened a second location in North Las Vegas Nevada. It’s really not too far from their original location on Craig Road. The new Losee Road location only serves Breakfast and Lunch. They are open from 7am-3 every day.

Inside is a mix of traditional tables and booths.

I tried a balsamic chicken salad.

It’s not perfect but is ok. It came out a bit warm and over dressed. I would recommend to ask for the dressing to be on the side. But the chicken in it is very good and moist and developed with flavors. This salad was also adorned with feta cheese and walnuts. On the side was toasted buttery garlic toast.

My husband tried a medium/rare cheeseburger with onion rings.

It came out medium/rare so he was happy. The onion rings were made nicely and were crisp and seemed free of oil.

Harvest Cafe (Losee Rd) is Worth a Try!

As of today the Losee Road location is not on the website for the Craig Road location. They have different hours and a slightly different menu.

Often I see $8.00 off coupons for The Harvest Cafe in the local Neon Magazine that they give away for free at our local Smit’s Supermarket.

What’s Zaap Thai Food – Next Level GREAT Thai Food – Las Vegas NV – Worth a Fork!

What’s Zaap Thai For is located in Las Vegas Nevada just minutes way from Red Rock Casino and minutes away from The Durango. If they seem familiar to you then maybe you caught them on Food Network’s Diners Drive Ins and Dives TV Show. A loop of that episode is continually playing on a TV there. In case you care to know Zaap means Next Level Great in Thai and it really is from what I just tasted here!

Several awards are under the TV and one is from Yelp that rates What’s Zaap as #35 of the top 50 restaurants in Vegas.

It’s a smaller restaurant. I noticed a few patio tables outside but I am not sure if they ever get used.

We started out by trying the crispy spring rolls.

They are just spring rolls but as soon as we started eating them they suddenly became the best spring rolls we ever tried. They have a special fresh taste I don’t usually get and the sauce is different but very good. Off to the side (not pictured) is the chef’s condiment tray with a special chef recommended hot sauce sauce that embellishes the food even more.

Check this out! Look how beautiful the Salmon Green Curry is.

Not only is this green curry layered with delicious flavors and adorned with tiny sweet baby eggplants and baby corns……..

THE SALMON IS MASTERFULLY PREPARED!!!!!

Crisp and seasoned on the outside. Moist and rich inside. Very few places prepare salmon this well. This is next level. Even my two closest steak houses don’t prepare salmon even close to this masterful.

The Spicy Basil (Pad Gra Pow) with Beef is the VERY BEST Spicy Basil Dish that I’ve tried in Las Vegas so far.

They are the only Thai Restaurant in Vegas that offers (a $2.00 upgrade) to use Holy Basil in the dish as it should be made with Holy Basil for the correct taste. They also hand chop the meat for more surface area and that holds in more flavor. Also the beef by the way is very good. This by far is the best Pad Gra Pow that I tasted in Vegas so far or at this time.

Delicious Cranberry Sauce Recipe

It’s fun for me to come up with a new cranberry sauce every Thanksgiving. I’m sorry that I didn’t get to publish this in time for your Thanksgiving celebration but maybe you can use it soon anyway. This year I came up with two new cranberry recipes. Next week I will publish an Italian inspired Cranberry sauce that is Mostarda Inspired. This week I’m doing something very different for me…….I already have at least eight cranberry sauce recipes published so I know something about making cranberry sauce but this is the first one that is more traditional and plain. Serving size is almost impossible to determine. I don’t know if you like a spoonful or a quarter cup serving. Since a one pound bag of cranberries is considered to be 7 servings I will guesstimate this recipe to be 14 servings. Leftovers can be frozen.

Ingredients for about 14 servings

32 ounces of cranberries (or 8 cups)

2/3 cup apple cider vinegar

2 + 2/3 cup dark brown sugar

2 cups filtered or spring water

1/2 teaspoon course sea salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground star anise

Directions

Everything goes in a sauce pot on high heat. Stir occasionally. When it starts boiling turn heat down to medium. Stir occasionally. When the boiling bubbles get fast again turn heat down again to medium-low. Break down berries you see that are whole with your spoon or another utensil. Cook until most berries are broken.

Serve warm or chilled.

Delicious Cranberry Sauce

Enjoy!!!!!!
