Probably the most notable PLATE OF THE YEAR might be the Pasta Nero from the Crossroads Italian Dinner Special Event. It was morel mushrooms that became vegan calamari with sea bean powder and a arrabbiata emulsion. It was just FORKING AMAZING. I just keep thinking about it. It was just so incredible and was infused with so many flavors…….also the vegan Eggplant Milanese with spring greens and pea greens and whole grain mustard vinaigrette was also amazing. It just had so many good fresh flavors to it. Never had anything with such a fresh taste like that before.

Even the lemon was special. It was so soft and so juicy. This whole plate was so crazy fresh and perfect. This sure is the best breaded eggplant ever.

At Crossroads I also enjoyed what will probably be the best dessert of the year.

The Croccante Alle Nocciole – Hazelnut cremeaux, Amarena cherry by guest chef Rocco DiSpirito.It was just spectacular.

Wow was I lucky to get these dishes.

Had a few bad plates this week. I sure don’t mean to say that this is a bad restaurant at all. I’m just saying is a FEW OF THE PLATES they served were not their best. I do note that this is a very recommended restaurant by many people to me and I have found that for an AYCE Sushi place the seafood and especially the sushi rolls I tried were notable but………..

The chicken karaage was unseasoned and had the texture of a rubber tire from Sushi Neko.
