NEW WEirD DIFFerenT Limited and Special Edition Foods Out There July 2021

There is always something that is New, Weird, Different, Limited, and special edition out there in the wonderful world of food. You just never know what you will come across when you are shopping for food.

Up above is –

DIFFERENT – Coleman Natural Budweiser Bratwurst. I wonder if they are the best or the wurst?

LIMITED EDITION – Kellog’s Mashups that are Frosted Flakes and From Loops mixed together. I don’t know about that one. Maybe they finally ran out of new ideas for cereal.

NEW – Duncan Hines Post perfectly moist Fruity Pebbles Cake Kit – I don’t want my cake to taste like cereal…..I also don’t want cooked moist pebbles in my cake.

DIFFERENT – Clancy’s Kettle Chips in Nashville Hot Chicken favored and Cuban sandwich flavored …….????? Sounds too good to be true!

DIFFERENT – Casa Mamita Crispy Taco or Queso Fundido Wavy Potato Chips…???? I guess nobody wants plain potato chips anymore. These days your potato chip must taste like something that it is not.

DIFFERENT – Kroger Reuben flavored potato chips……Can’t complain until I try……maybe we will see?

DIFFERENT – Hawaiian Brand Hulapeno (LOL) jalapeño fired potato chips….Hulapeno..OK that’s cute and funny.

DIFFERENT and maybe WEIRD Hawaiian Brand mango habanero potato chips…This one I’m not too sure about…..I like mango habanero salsa….But I don’t think I’d like mango flavored potato chips……This one IDK.

LIMITED TIME ONLY – Pringles potato crisps in Wendy’s Spicy Chicken…Might be worth a cluck?…..Gosh! What would Dave say?

DIFFERENT Fritos in honey bbq twist….I never saw Fritos in a twist shape before…Actually I don’t think I noticed Fritos in flavors other than original.

DIFFERENT – Specially Selected Chimichurri Cold Smoked Salmon…..Sounds good I have to say…but don’t know if it is?

DIFFERENT – Good Neighbor SHRIMP Burgers in bacon cheddar, sweet & smoky, original and –

DIFFERENT Good Neighbor Southwest Shrimp Burger…….who ever heard of southwest shrimp?…EEE..YAW…Giddy Up you shrimp!…Sounds a LITTLE FISHY to me.

DIFFERENT – Almark Foods – Looks like cooked egg whites with a filled pasty bad so you can squirt the pre-made deviled egg filling into the egg whites…WOW! How Egg-citing!

DIFFERENT – Murry’s Deer Creek Rattlesnake cheese that is cheddar, gold tequila, habanero peppers…called Rattlesnake Cheese…That sounds HISsssssss-terical.

DIFFERENT – Romero’s Soft Cauliflower Tacos…..Cauliflower is everywhere and in everything these days……….They sound healthy?

DIFFERENT and maybe NEW Chick-filet sauces in one called SAUCE and the other Polynesian Sauce….????? I wonder if they are also sold in Sundays?

DIFFERENT and maybe WEIRD WinCo beef tenderloin marked ungraded….Ungraded meat makes me wonder…..?????

NEW – Kinder bueno mini candy. Chi[ocolate coved hazelnut cream filled wafers. They sound dellicious but I haven’t tried them so I don’t know?

NEW NAME Pearl Milling Company original syrup and buttermilk mix that makes pancakes. Well if you liked them before then you will still like them.

So far there is always a NEW or Limited Edition Oreo

LIMITED EDITION S’mores graham flavored cookies with marshmallow and chocolate flavored cream with that perfect natural and artificial taste!

Well that was the NEW, Weird, Different, Limited, and Special Edition foods out there for July 2021. Who knows WTFork I’ll come across next month.

Up above is …..

LIMITED EDITION – KitKat Key Lime Pie Flavor. It sounds delicious……..Could go either way just like real key lime pies. Some of them are very good but many do suck.

NEW – Hershey’s birthday cake kisses. It reads birthday cake flavored cream..(that means something fatty like shortening and or butter mixed with some vanilla flavor) with sprinkles and OTHER? natural flavors…..Why don’t they just name this bag? Hershey’s KISSES for when you DON’T WANT chocolate and mixed with vanilla and OTHER natural flavors. Happy Birthday…yeah

LIMITED SUMMERTIME EDITION – Hershey’s strawberry ice cream cone flavored kisses. Strawberry flavored cream and cookies with “OTHER” natural flavors…??????? Also free of chocolate…….. I don’t want to know what OTHER natural flavors are…could be something gross like cow fart juice or squirrel vomit. WHO FORKING knows?

DIFFERENT – Kit Kat wafer bars in sparkling wine and banana caramel flavors. It’s a 50/50 shot at good or bad………Or maybe one flavor is good and the other flavor sucks?

DIFFERENT and maybe NEW – Godiva chocolate domes with milk chocolate coconut crunch….Now these might be good?

DIFFERENT – Fair Trade organic peanut butter and jelly cups in dark chocolate….They do sound good? Don’t know if they are?

NEW – POP-tarts in Banana Creme Pie, Lemon Creme Pie, and Peach Cobbler. They sound good but I gave up POP-tarts decades ago. Not sure if they are still made the same but I heard that they were made with cow fat. As a child that sounds utterly unappetizing.

DIFFERENT – Jelly Belly Krispy Kreme Doughnut jelly beans. Someone was either on drugs or has too much time on their hands to think up this treat.

NEW – Nestle Toll House syrups in pecan turtle delight cookie and chocolate chip cookie syrup……..I don’t know about you but I would rather have a real cookie instead of syrup cookie. I think someone really was on drugs to think this one up.

Speaking of people on drugs thinking stuff up………

DIFFERENT and WEIRD – Cap’n Crunch’s Ocean Blue Artificially Maple Flavored Syrup…..Gee this is what nightmares are made of. This is punishment food.

DIFFERENT and WEIRD – The Jackfruit Company Hickory Smoked Plant Based Pulled Pork…….You might pig out on this but………….Someone is dreaming that Jackfruit is pork….This is a package of pulled jackfruit…not pork.

DIFFERENT (and NO WHEY) – Violife Just Like Cheddar slices, Just like smoked provolone slices, just like feta and just like natural cheddar slices….Unlike first package that just reads just like cheddar slices…..?????

WEIRD – Avocados at Safeway aren’t weird but I usually don’t see people walking cute dogs in clothing in Safeway.

NEW – Vintage Italia Pene Straws made with lentils and white beans with lemon garlic flavor……….Not sure why these are called straws….not sure why anyone would come up with this?

Speaking of pasta……

DIFFERENT – Trader Joe’s Hearts of palm pasta…..Never seen that before…….Looks good on the box…?????

DIFFERENT – Trader Joe’s Organic black bean rotini – Now I have come across black bean pasta at Whole Foods before. Would look pretty with certain vegetables and sauces…hopefully it’s good….

DIFFERENT – Trader Joe’s Cauliflower chip snacks with brown rice, coconut milk, seeds and seasonings….Sounds really tasty…might try it next time?

DIFFERENT – Trader Joe’s Cheese Bites with black summer truffle…THRESE ARE VERY GOOD…..not fake stuff either

DIFFERENT – Trader Joe’s Organic rainbow carrot snack…….Looks good…Might have to buy next time and maybe I’ll poop a rainbow.

DIFFERENT – Trader Joe’s Crispy Champignon mushroom snack. This kind of snack is showing up everywhere. Move over potato chips we are doing shrooms now.

NEW – Pepsi Mango. ?????? Does Mango taste good with Pepsi????????

Oh and there is always a Forking Oreo.

LIMITED EDITION – Frankford Oreo cookies and creme eggs.

My Forking Thoughts on Lay’s Spanish Tomato Tango Potato Chips

I picked up this bag of Lay’s Spanish Tomato Tango Potato chips from the Asiana Market in the Deer Valley part of Phoenix. These chips are from India…..I thought they’d be from Spain since it reads Spanish on the bag. Well Spanish sounds good so lets give this bag a try.

It’s a very small bag of chips and it only weighs around 2 ounces.

I’m so glad that they used edible vegetable oil instead of inedible vegetable oil. I see that some flavors are natural and other flavors are identical flavoring substances…LOL!

I open the bag and take a whiff.

Gosh these chips smell really strange…

I smell sweet. I smell fried. I slightly smell cinnamon and a lot I can’t identify….Lets spilll some out.

The chips have ridges and are covered in an orange powder.

I taste one…..

It’s very strange.

It’s sour and sweet with other flavors that are laced with clove.

The sour is very strange….It’s not a normal sour like lemon or vinegar ……it’s more like tomato sauce that isn’t made right. Like when you don’t cook tomatoes enough or when you cook them too much and they start to ferment. Then you taste sugar like they attempted to fix the tomato sauce. I also taste the black pepper…..There are other flavors but they are overpowered by the clove that is really gross here.

Lay’s Spanish Tomato Tango Potato Chips is one of my all time least favorite flavors that I have ever tried.

My Forking Thoughts on Universal Yums Spain April 2021

Universal Yums is a international snack box gift box or subscription service. You have a choice of a few different size boxes.

They all come with snacks and a booklet with games, trivia and a recipe.

This month the snacks are from Spain. My expectations were pretty high because Spain is well known for having amazing foods and astonishing canned fish. (I was hoping for some really great canned fish)

I got a squashed cake. The cake is soft and the filling is very paste-tee……

Next are spicy mango gummies. They smell sort of like mango. They are not spicy. Not a favorite. It’s like gummy whipped taffy with a weird flavor.

These smell awful. They smell just like when you walk by an old fryer with old oil. They are suppose to be bacon and cheese flavored bugle shaped corn snacks. But they don’t have bacon or any cheese in them. Won’t get fat eating these….

This month I got a Yum Bag….Usually we get a Yum Bag but last month I didn’t. the top candies are Spanish Chocolate Toffee. They are soft like Tootsie Rolls…After a few chews all the chocolate flavor disappears and it’s like edible plastic. The pistachio candies on the lower end of the Yum bag are suppose to be soft and rich?….I think I got defective candies because mine are hard and are strong enough to pull my teeth out. It taste like the flavor is sprayed on. After about a second you don’t need the candy anymore.

Next are little sugar coated caramels……..They taste good but do have a slightly artificial finish……

Last snack

Lemon pepper potato chips……They smell like normal potato chips…..They are nice and crisp in texture. For me they are too acidic….I can’t eat them but my husband can…Bah they were almost good with a nice potato flavor.

Those were my thoughts on Universal Yums Spain 2021 Your opinion may differ!

My Forking Thoughts on Lay’s Whacky Hot ‘N’ Sweet Chilli (Chili) Potato Chips

I picked up this bag of Lay’s Whacky Hot ‘N’ Sweet Chili (spelled Chilli on bag) Potato Chips from the Asiana Market in Deer Valley Phoenix Arizona. This bag is from India so it is not a flavor that you will find everywhere. I like Chili and Sweet can be ok so I decided to give this bag a try. It’s a very small bag with very little in it.

The bag only weighs 2 ounces.

The ingredients look pretty good for flavored potato chips.

I’m so glad that the potato chips main ingredient is potato and they used edible vegetable oil instead of inedible vegetable oil.

I open the bag and sniff them.

They smell really odd. Something like tahini mixed with a frozen pizza.

The chips are smaller in size with ridges and do have a powdery surface.

I get scared to taste them.

I taste one….

It’s very spicy but not too spicy and it is sweet.

They are more savory than sweet with a tiny bit of onion and garlic an also an odd taste in the background.

You get the odd taste more near the

bottom of the bag.

It’s something like soy sauce.

Universal Yums – Germany March 2021

Universal Yums is a gift or subscription service for a box of international snacks.

You have three choices of size boxes.

Besides snacks your box comes with a booklet that includes some facts, trivia and a recipe.

I don’t know why but my box is marked reject.

That’s just dandy. WHATEVER

Lets try our first snack.

It’s puffed rice with a thin coat of waxy chocolate. It’s much lighter in texture than the Asian puffed rice bars. I think it might have ground rice powder in it with the texture of almost angel cake holding it together. I like the center of this bar with the ultra light texture. It ALMOST seems like the rice is suspended in angel cake but it isn’t…just taste that way.

Next

They smell tangy……They taste better than they smell…..Sort of like a ketchup taste…..Not awful (“PHEW”) but not something that I would buy.

Next we try the onion rings.

They smell just like onion powder. They have the same texture as softer lighter cheese curls but don’t taste like cheese curls. They taste onion flavored. Light oniony rings…they are ok.

Now we will go for something sweet.

Here are cinnamon almond cream wafers.

They are cinnamon-ee…kinda almond-ee………They remind me of other wafer snacks from all over the world. I think every country out there makes some sort of wafer snack.

Here is premium white chocolate with strawberry rhubarb crumble. I think this is pretty good. It taste like lots of strawberry in a cream……maybe the sour finish is the rhubarb? I think that this was the best of the box.

I saved this for last because I’m not a big fan of marzipan.

Well it’s a stick of marzipan. It’s covered in dark chocolate that isn’t too bad.

My Forking Thoughts on Surati Cheddar Jalapeño flavored Potato Tubes

I found some different foreign snacks from Asiana Market in the Deer Valley part of Phoenix Arizona. Here are Surati Cheddar Jalapeño flavored potato tubes. I found them in the India aisle but this snack is from Canada.

The front of the bag is marked suitable for vegetarians.

The ingredients are a mix of mostly natural and some chemical.

I open the bag and take a sniff.

It smells sort of cheesy and I do also smell chili powder.

I spill some out.

They are shaped sort of like French Fries but with. slightly hollow centers. They are dusted with seasonings.

I taste one.

It’s very spicy but it doesn’t burn with a natural cheesy flavor. It’s actually very tasty but the texture is unlike anything I ever tried before. It’s ultra light and airy. It’s so darn light and airy it would be easy to woof down this 3 1/2 ounce bag.

I might buy them again.

Worth a try if you can do spicy.

My Forking Thoughts on Universal Yums – February 2021 Ukraine Box

Universal Yums sells snacks from around the world. You can either subscribe or gift in a variety ways and different available sizes.

I get the basic Yum Box. These days it is 5-7 snacks and runs around $16. a month. My box includes a 12 page booklet with fun facts, a recipe and some games.

The first treat we try are the wasabi spicy potato strips.

They taste like they could be made by Pringles but in a long thin strip and wasabi flavored…Ummmm not bad. I’m surprised that they aren’t all busted up. Not bad..I’d buy them once in a while.

Next we try the baked Milk and Dark Chocolate Bar.

It’s a lot of wafers surrounded by a dark chocolaty wax coating. Not awful….but also not great…..I think mine is an off batch…I have next to zero filling between the wafers. It’s kind of dry. Oh well what’s next?

Next we open the Yum Bag. we try a juice filled Ukrainian mixed fruit jelly (yellow wrapper)……It’s weird….Not sure what it taste like….It’s coated with cornstarch and my mouth full of cornstarch…but is more jelly fruity and wet than corn starch…..It’s weird to me.

A day later I tried the other candy in the Yum Bag.

WOW! This candy is even weirder than the last candy. It’s really soft caramel with a strawberry fruit center that doesn’t taste like much. My husband found this candy less weird. He also agreed that you barely taste the strawberry and it’s mostly just a soft caramel…….I would never eat this again.

This is suppose to be a sweeter condensed milk cream cake. I don’t think mine wasn’t made right. It’s very dry and not sweet…I think it taste like it was made with saw dust………YUK! Neither me or my husband could stomach this one.

This one is a creme brûlée milk chocolate bar…It’s very sweet….like as sweet as thick donut icing….It’s too sweet. I think you can get diabetes if you eat more than one chocolate piece. This one was almost good.

Last snack is the roasted garlic rye chips.

My bread chips arrived mostly busted up. I go to taste one…..Not much on garlic taste….Mine taste like dry wheat bread mixed with wood pulp and they are very dry…..

I hope next month is better or I will have to cancel my membership.

My Forking Thoughts on Universal Yums – Netherlands – January 2021 #UniversalYums

Universal Yums is an International snacks site ( www.UniversalYums.com ). You have many options and can subscribe to a once a month box if you like. The International snack boxes come in three different sizes. The basic Yum Box comes with 6 international snacks and a twelve page booklet of games, trivia and a recipe and runs around $16. a month.

The next size up is the Yum Yum Box of twelve snacks and more and is around $25. a month and the largest box is called the Super Yum Box of 20 snacks and cost around $40. a month.

I’m not a fan of gummy candy so I let my husband try the gummy candies for me.

These licorice and fruit dummies came from Amsterdam. My husband didn’t like them but said the next bag was even worst.

Oh they look cute….gummy Dutch candy cars in cherry, strawberry and black current. These had a rubbery texture and weren’t good to my husband.

I try the Yum Bag…

I try a ball first.

Dutch Sour Violet Balls…..Oh no wonder why it didn’t taste like food….(ick)

I kind of knew I wouldn’t like the Dutch sour watermelon candies but I did try….

GOD they are gross……….kinda like bubble gum mixed with watermelon and something painfully sour.

I’m beginning to think that this is the worst box ever.

We try again anyway.

Here are Dutch Aged Gouda Cheese Crispies.

Now these taste really rich and good. They have a really great buttery cheese flavor. Unfortunately they have a gross waxy finish in the mouth.

Here are thick cut bio-organic hand cooked cheese onion potato chips……Mine seem very thin and not thick cut but they are nice and crisp. I don’t get much cheese or onion taste to them…..they are just crisp little chips. Not bad…chips…they are ok.

I tried this and latter found out that I didn’t eat it correctly….WHO KNEW! that you could eat a cookie incorrectly?

Anywho-

Me and my husband tried them…(incorrectly) We took bites out of them and they weren’t good to us. I thought it was like a sweet gummy cooked into a thin waffle shaped cookie.

You are suppose to eat these cookies over a mug of a hot liquid. The hot liquid I guess makes them gooier …(ick!)

Here are multi-chocolate covered mini spice cookies. I’m not a big fan of spice cookies but I guess this might be the best of the bunch.

Netherlands wasn’t my favorite Yum Box.

Up above we have-

NEW and LIMITED EDITION Lay’s Potato Chips in Frank’s Red Hot – Hot Sauce Flavor….These I bought. They taste sort of like Frank’s Red Hot Sauce but more tangy I can’t can’t eat them. My mouth its too sensitive and they are so tangy that all that tang hurts my mouth. My husband was able to eat them.

NEW & LIMITED EDITION Lay’s Kettle Cooked Beer Cheese Flavored Potato Chips. I didn’t get yet but I am intrigued….(sounds good)

DIFFERENT – Lay’s India’s Magic Masala potato chips. Sound tasty I might give them a try…

DIFFERENT – Lay’s Whacky Hot ‘n’ Sweet Chili …..? Sounds like a flavor I might have to try?…..We’ll see.

DIFFERENT – Al Chipino Thai Green Curry Tortilla Chips – Says that it is a chip that doesn’t need dip. – Sounds Yummy!

DIFFERENT – Al Chipino – BBQ Tikka Masala Tortilla Chips – Says that it is a chip that doesn’t need dip. – Also sounds tasty!

DIFFERENT – Surati Sriracha Splash flavored potato chips…Sounds YUMMY but I don’t know if they are?????

DIFFERENT…REALLY DIFFERENT>>>LOOK AT THEM…Surati Masala Munch Flavored SHELLS….They are sort of taco shell shaped……Could be an interesting snack!

DIFFERENT – Surati – Cheddar Jalapeño Tubes – They also sound tasty…Ummmm

NEW – Andrew Zimmern Spice Blends in Mexican, Tuscan and Mediterranean. Might be good?

NEW – Heinz tomato ketchup with vegetables blended into it….????? Looks like a squash and a carrot….I don’t know why anyone would do this to ketchup. It’s not like anyone eats much ketchup…..so why water down the tomatoes with squash and carrots? This one just seems dumb.

Different – evol – Egg White, KALE, tomato & GOAT cheese breakfast sandwich….I don’t know how it is but is sounds tasty.

NEW – Hormel – Ranch Seasoned Bacon………Do you really want ranch with that?

NEW – Beyond Meat – Beyond Italian Style Meatballs…might be good?

DIFFERENT and maybe NEW – Maestri Veggie Plant Based Pre Sliced Meats. These come in prosciutto, roasted turkey, beef carpaccio, spicy salami and pepperoni STYLE faux meats. I’m curious………..but don’t know if I will ever try since I’m not much of a fan of any sliced lunch meat.

NEW – Land O Lakes Cinnamon Sugar Butter Spread. I guess GREAT for when you don’t have a pantry. Because then you need to buy your butter mixed with cinnamon and sugar for your frozen waffles.

NEW? – Baby Ruth Candy Bars with New Dry Roasted Peanuts..???? WTFork kind of peanuts were in there before? It says improved in the corner…?????

NEW – Dr Pepper Cream Soda…? If it’s cream soda then it’s not Dr Pepper….?

NEW – Nestle M&M’s Coffee Mate………..For Gods sake M&M’s are just milk chocolate and sugar…WHY?

DIFFERENT and maybe NEW – Reddi Whip Non-Dairy Coconut Milk. WOW! that can be delicious in a number of ways!

DIFFERENT and maybe NEW – Great Value SUGAR-FREE Whipped Heavy Cream

DIFFERENT – Sambazon Acai Bites in Peanut Butter & Chocolate 60 calories each…Sounds great to me!

NEW – Oreo Artificially flavored marshmallow pieces in cookie with chocolate marshmallow creme. WOW! what did we do to deserve this?
