This was a better than average week with a lot of great food. One of the dishes that is always incredible is Emeril’s Banana Cream Pie. It’s so life changing that even if you hate banana cream pies you will love this one. My husband HATES banana cream pies but also loves Emeril’s Banana Cream Pie because it really is FORKING AMAZING and like no other. It’s just FORKING DELICIOUS. It is a sin and a shame if you go anywhere where there is a Emeril’s Restaurant and don’t get the Banana Cream Pie.
Available in several states but my last one was at….
District Deli & Coffee is located in a not too pretty part of downtown Las Vegas Nevada. They offer breakfast sandwiches, Monzu Bread toasts, a variety of sandwiches, chef salads, deli sides, pastries, coffees, smoothies, and teas. They have a few indoor tables and a few outdoor tables. It’s casual. You order and pay at the counter.
Sandwiches are the way to go here but I ordered the Panzanella Salad with Smoked Salmon because I don’t come across them often. (fresh mozzarella, toasted garlic focaccia, cherry tomatoes, arugula, red onion)
It’s a bit of a fail because the croutons are hard as rocks and Panzanella is suppose to be bread salad……..Soaked bread like in tomatoes and vegetables…..Not always but often oil, vinegar, basil…….These croutons stayed so hard that they couldn’t be penetrated with a fork. I’d go back but would have to go with a sandwich next time.
My husband had a sandwich and also took out a sandwich for latter. The sandwiches actually are quite good. Below is the Mortadella Sandwich (Pecorino Romano, arugula, Monzu Focaccia with Caponata) and house made chips.
He also took out a Italian Sandwich (fennel salami, capicola, mortadella, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pepperoncini, herbed vinegar, pickled pepper spread, sesame roll)
Delmonico Steakhouse in Las Vegas Nevada is located in the Venetian Hotel/Casino on The Las Vegas Strip. This restaurant is owned by Multi Award and James Beard Award Wining Celebrity Chef, Restauranteur, Television Personality, Cookbook Author and MORE Emeril Lagasse.
This Steakhouse is open at lunch time and does offer a lunch menu. At the time of my visit they were offering a three course Prix Price Menu for $50. The Lunch Menu offers starters like gumbo, salads, and Emeril’s New Orleans’s Barbecue Shrimp. Lunch Entrees are things like a tenderloin salad or sandwich, a petite filet, fried chicken, king salmon, smash cheeseburger, and spinach spaghetti. They also offer various side dishes, desserts, and a section of Steakhouse Selections.
It’s very formal and rich looking. it’s filled with comfortable seating and interesting light fixtures.
They start you off with airy popovers and soft butter.
At any of the Emeril Restaurants my husband ALWAYS gets the gumbo and says that it is always very good.
On the lunch menu is a $26. Smashburger (price subject to change) that is very large and is served on HOUSE MADE Potato Brioche Bun. The burger is ribeye brisket with trim + wagyu + dry age and lettuce, tomato, red onion, bread and butter pickles, American Cheddar Cheese and Fry Sauce.
I got mine without cheese. I don’t know why but the smashburger without cheese came out much juicier than the burger with cheese………….
On the very ends some of the beef is very crispy but mine is very juicy and flavorful. For me this is two meals because it is very large but my husband ate all of his.
We also shared some truffle parmesan potato chips.
The chips are light and very thin. They are crisp and seem free of oil. They taste good…Cheesy and a bit truffle-ly. They are also a very large portion.
Emeril’s Banana Cream Pie is always amazing. I do think it is one of the best desserts that you can get anywhere in Vegas.
Flecha Cantina is a Modern Mexican Cusine type of restaurant by Actor and Las Vegas Resident Mark Wahlberg. The original location of Flecha Cantina is in Huntington Beach and the Las Vegas Location opened up mid September 2024 in Town Square. This restaurant offers many Mexican Favorites that you expect it to offer like guacamole, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and fajitas. This restaurant also offers many dishes that are unique to most Mexican Restaurants like guacamole hummus, pistachio goat cheese, potato poblano soup with bacon, balsamic beet salad with puffed rice, and a salmon fajita salad. Some of the entree offerings here are braised short ribs, steak with chimichurri sauce, sea bass, rib eye, cochinta pibil and birria.
It’s a large restaurant with a large bar lounge, a bar, traditional tables, booths, and some outdoor cocktail tables.
Whatever you order they start you off with fresh salted chips and very good spicy salsa.
Today we tried the pistachio goat cheese with tamarind sauce. It came with fried crispy pita bread.
My GOSH it’s delicious! I wish you could taste some. It’s also a very large portion so we took some home for another time.
I tried the balsamic beet salad with achiote tequila chicken (beets, balsamic, spring mix, spinach, jicama, cucumber, carrot, cotija, almond, corn, puffed rice, queso fresco, scallions, tomato)
I’m not 100% sure if every ingredient is there but it is certainly delicious. It might be the most delicious salad I ever had at any Mexican Restaurant. The chicken is unusually moist and delicious too….This is a really great salad.
My husband tried the Chile Relleno with shrimp (poblano, jack and chihuahua cheeses, enchilada rojo sauce, crema blanca, picaeta)
Again everything is unusually delicious and the shrimp are prepared to perfection.
Everything was so great I felt the need to try a dessert and tried the fried ice cream (fried ice cream, whipped cream, berry sauce, lemon hart 151 rum)
It’s not in the description but the ice cream sits on a bowlful of some sort of cinnamon crunch cereal. Not my favorite fried ice cream out but it’s not bad either.
Bazaar Mar is a Seafood Tapas Restaurant with Spanish Embellishments by multi award wining and Michelin Stared Chef and Restauranteur Jose Andres and Team. This week it was quite hard to pick the notable dish since almost any from Bazaar Mar could be the Notable dish. A close choice for me would have been the mini fish shaped sandwich on a special hallow bread called bagel and lox. It was really exciting but the Japanese Peaches with za’atar were also extra exciting.
Japanese Baby Peaches from Bazaar Mar
The little green fruits are the Japanese Peaches. The plate also contains stracciatella cheese, hazelnuts, little crunchy bites, fresh green leaves, and za’atar.
You are suppose to gather one of each on your spoon to eat it.
It’s so interesting…..So different……It’s also light and refreshing.
The Japanese Baby Peaches from Bazaar Mar is the Notable Dish of The Week!
Around the beginning of the month it finally started to get cooler in Vegas so we were able to Dine Out With Dogs. Dining Out With Dogs sort of started with my late dog Louie. Good Old Louie always enjoyed going out to eat. When he got diagnosed with aggressive cancer I took him out as often as I could and instead of the 3-6 months they thought he had Good Old Louie made it another 17 months. Today I take my current dogs out to eat when the weather is right and when I can.
We made it to the #1 Hawaiian Barbecue. They don’t have their own patio but only two doors down is a community patio.
I got….I mean we got the maui maui healthier plate (salad & brown rice makes this healthier than white rice and macaroni salad)
My husband (and dogs) got some of the spicy chicken plate.
Gotta feed the dogs some fish.
Mine also came with a hard boiled egg so I shared that with the dogs too!

Who knew the next week would be too hot to dine out with dogs?….So we brought them back a Five Guys Cheeseburger.
They would rather dine out but they always enjoy a Five Guys Cheeseburger.
The next week it was hot again so the dogs went for a ride to the In-N-Out Drive Thru.
Here’s their cheeseburger.
They get to eat the meat & cheese.
They always enjoy In-N-Out Cheeseburgers.
The following it was borderline cool enough to dine out. We tried to dine at SNS Diner BBQ. But they were having some sort of meltdown that day. We’ll try them again in the near future.
We did get to make it out to Those Guys Pies in North Las Vegas. They specialize in Pizzas and Cheesesteaks. If they seem familiar to you it’s because you might have seen them on Food Network’s Diners Drive Ins and Dives. They love dogs here and have a craft dog biscuit vending machine inside. Today they enjoyed some craft chicken dog biscuits.
They also enjoyed chicken from my Lakeside Salad.
They also got to enjoy some cheesesteak.
The Dogs always enjoys all their trips to Those Guys Pies.

Well that was dining out and in with dogs for September 2024. We hope that you’ve enjoyed and we hope to see you next month.

Aromi Italian Restaurant is located in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas NV. They offer most of your favorite Italian dishes but also offer a very large lunch menu with lots of choices.
They also started us off with toasted bars of rosemary bread and our choice of oil or butter (we picked oil).
I thought that the bread was good but the oil had something bitter in it that I found unappetizing….
I tried the lunch Branzino.
The fish was prepared reasonably well and did come out with a shattering crisp skin, fancy carrots and asparagus spears in a lemon butter caper sauce. It looks nice this way but the skin would have stayed crisp if the fish wasn’t placed skin side down.
My husband got the mushroom raviolis with short rib.
He said that the ravioli were made nicely. The short rib was good and succulent. Probably great for most people but fattier than I can eat.
Bazaar Mar is a Seafood Tapas Restaurant with Spanish Embellishment by Multi Award Wining and Michelin Stared Chef and Restauranteur Jose Andres and Team. The Las Vegas Location is located in The Shops At Crystals on the Las Vegas Strip.
There’s a large bar that sits in the middle of the restaurant.
At the end of the bar area is an open kitchen with today’s fresh flown in fish on display.
We start out with two River Trout Cones embellished with very light smoke, preserved lemon, and fresh dill.
My husband enjoys Jamon Iberico ham so he had a Jose’s Taco (Jamon Iberico De Bellota, Ossetna Caviar, gold leaf, and nori)
This one was hard to share but possibly was my favorite small bite of the evening.
This is listed under mini sandwiches. It’s called bagel and lox and is made with Russ & Daughters smoked salmon. It’s a hallow but very crisp fish shaped bread with seeds. It’s filled with the airiest cream cheese ever. The bread is topped with silky lox that is embellished with crisp capers and fresh dill.
This one was great too but also was my husband’s favorite small bite plate. It’s the Bluefin Tuna and fried quail egg. It’s in a soy dashi broth with nori.
It might not look so small but you roll up the fish around the quail egg to eat it and it turns into a small bite.
Next was our main plate. We shared a grilled branzino type fish. it sits in a donostiarra sauce (Spanish sauce possibly made with parsley, sherry vinegar, garlic, and paprika) and is topped with sliced garlic and sea salt.
I accidentally got a few bites with too much salt for my taste but most of the fish was very good and melted in the mouth.
We also shared an incredible plate of Japanese Baby Peaches (with stracciatella cheese, hazelnuts, something crunchy, and za’atar).
It’s so interesting and so different! It’s also sort of light and refreshing. You are suppose to get a little bit of everything on your spoon and try it that way.
I thought the perfect dessert for tonight was the Arroz Con Leche Merengon (Meringue, Arroz Con Leche Espuma (foam), blood orange granita, Thai Basil)
It was light and refreshing. I thought it went perfect with all the plates we tried.
Then it was somebody’s birthday so they gave us this and two complimentary sparkling wines.
Service was amazing and the food was just incredible!
Showing Off is just to show you that I am still cooking or baking things.
Up above is a plain pizza with a good amount of fresh mozzarella on it.
Next is a slightly different onion galette. I used asiago cheese and added seeds and flake sea salt to the ends of the crust.
Below are spaghetti cupcakes
Next are-
Baked Salmon Mousse Balls and I also made a Mandarin Ginger Sauce to go with them and they sit on these cute little cracker bowls.
Sweet Potato Hand Pies
From the leftover sweet potato filling I just added an egg, more sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, pomegranate, and a few chocolate chips, and then embellished the tops.
