A Big TASTE of The Black Sheep – Las Vegas NV – Worth a Fork!

The Black Sheep is a Modern Vietnamese/American full service restaurant and bar located about fifteen minutes past the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas Nevada. This restaurant is by Chef Jamie Tran who was a former BRAVO TOP CHEF contestant and also was Eater Las Vegas 2017 Chef of the year.

Below is Chef Jamie Tran at the bar helping out.

Below is a BIG TASTE of The Black Sheep….I do note that the menu changes some from time to time.

The Salmon Skin Tacos are usually offered on the menu and are usually amazing.

Often the Bao Sliders with house made sausage are on the menu. My husband said that these are delicious.

hamachi crudo

I thought this version of the Hamachi Crudo was amazing.

The latest version of the Hamachi is very good not amazing like the other version but still very good.

June 2025 Hamachi Crudo

New appetizer Oxtail Empanada was very good and came with delicious pickled cabbage.

Above are the Oxtail Empanadas

Haiya Chicken

The Short Rib is often on the menu

Boneless crispy trout

I had the signature boneless crispy rainbow trout six times already. 4 of the 6 were crispy.

On my June 2025 visit the fish was indeed crispy and looked like this –

FOODS That YOU Can Make Too!

Nearly all the recipes or variations of the recipes can be found here. (www.TheFORKINGTruth.com)

Up top are potato and cheese pierogi that I fried in butter. (You are suppose to eat them boiled the first day, 2nd day sautƩed with caramelized onions.) But for a crowd I think they are best fried so they are finger food.

Pistachio and Chocolate & Hazelnut rolled Cookies

Crispy tasty Potato Puffs (Potato, cream cheese, butter, seasonings filled fried wonton wrappers)

Asian Inspired 5 Spice Turkey Meatballs with Hoisin Sauce

My famous chipotle rice, cheddar, corn, potato string wrapped peppers

Crackers (bread crisps) with taleggio , home made pesto, tomato and smaller crackers with mild green chili cream cheese that I piped into roses.

These were some Foods that YOU can make too!

ai Pazzi – Las Vegas NV – Worth a Fork!

ai Pazzi is a very nice Italian Restaurant located in the Rampart Casino/Hotel in the Summerlin part of Las Vegas Nevada. This restaurant is brought to you by celebrity chef Fabio Viviani.

Inside it’s rich, airy and modern.

Whatever you order they start you off with delicious house made focaccia that’s embellished with olive oil, rosemary, and grated cheese.

They also offer a few wines blended by the chef.

We tried the arancini (fried rice balls)

Here they are a little different and are vegetarian with a cheese center and sit in a pecorino cheese sauce.

For my main I tried the branzino.

I got a very generous amount of meaty fish that’s prepared to perfection and comes with a nicely grilled lemon. The salad is made of very fresh bitter young greens. The dressing really pops. I think because it’s made with an unusual vinegar that is very tasty.

We planned to share charred broccolini. We were getting kinda full so we brought it home.

My husband enjoyed the Pollo Scarpariello.

He said it was all very good but especially enjoyed the house made sausage in the dish.

We also enjoyed the lemon ricotta cake.

And they surprised us with a celebration dessert plate.

It was a sweet ending to a wonderful dinner.

Lindo Michoacan at Palace Station – Las Vegas NV – Not The Best

Lindo Michoacan is a group of Mexican Restaurants and Bars with four locations around Las Vegas Nevada. The food and menus of the locations differs. I do note that I had a good experience at the Centennial location.

The location at Place Station has a bar and a couple dining areas that are made of traditional tables, booths, and half booths.

They start you off with complimentary spicy chips here, a red spicy sauce, and soft whipped beans. (different from Centennial location)

I hate to be honest but I have to tell The FORKING Truth…..This is the worst salsa that I’ve ever tasted anywhere. It’s like tomato puree mixed with a very hot chemical…..Not hot peppers…like something chemical. No cilantro, no onions….just horrible. It burns and isn’t good at all. THIS IS SHOCK because the salsa at the Centennial Location was good.

Next come the Fideo Soup that comes with most entrees.

The dominate flavor is TABLE SALT. (I can’t eat this…….my husband is more tolerate of salt…he can eat it but said that it is salty. So it is salty….Later when we got home he kept drinking water saying he was so thirsty from probably that salty soup)

My main was the Pollo A La Naranja Becky (Spicy Mexican Orange Chicken but with vegetables instead of rice and beans)

They gave THREE pounded chicken breasts that are in a mild slightly orange sauce. There are suppose to be jalapeƱos in the dish but they didn’t make it to this plate. The vegetables on the side are ok……This also came with corn tortillas that seem hand made but are thick as pita breads.

My husband tried the Chile Relleno Camaron (Shrimp and Pepper)

He said that the shrimp didn’t taste fresh and thought it was odd that the pepper was flat on the plate and topped with the shrimp.

The Bootlegger Italian Bistro – Las Vegas NV – Famous Old School Italian Restaurant – Worth a Fork!

The Bootlegger Italian Bistro is a famous multi award wining Old School Italian Restaurant and ,bar, that also offers banquets, catering, gaming, nightclub, and entertainment. As soon as you enter you see various photos of celebrities that dined here.

Most of the dining rooms are red and are lined with more celebrity photos.

Here is part of the bar area.

We got seated in the Steve & Eydie Booth.

We ordered and they started us off with well seasoned bread with garlic and tasty red sauce on the side. They told us that we could have all the bread we want.

For my main I ordered the lunch sized Pollo Angelo.

It’s chicken breast in a sherry wine lemon caper sauce with artichokes, mushrooms, olives, and red peppers. It comes with fettuccini Alfredo on the side.

My husband ordered the Veal Saltimbocca.

It’s veal layered with Genoa salami, hot capicola and cheese and it’s dipped in egg batter and sauteed in sherry wine and mushroom sauce. Fettuccini Alfredo is on the side.

Everything was good and we were too full to try dessert.

Below is list of their awards.

My FORKING Thoughts on Reese’s PB&J Strawberry Jam Big Cup

The Reese’s PB&J cups come in strawberry jam and grape jam. I picked the strawberry jam because the grape one says right on the front artificially flavored so I thought the strawberry would be better? It’s marked U and D so it doesn’t contain any Castoreum so it’s safe to eat.

It looks different than the picture.

LOL – I thought the top would be embellished with peanut butter and jam.

I cut in half and I see the strawberry jam is near the bottom of the cup.

I try some.

It tastes mostly like a Reese’s Cup.

The strawberry jam doesn’t bring much to it.

It’s not terrible but the jam is a waste because it doesn’t have much flavor to it. It’s just there to give you less Reese’s.

Those were my FORKING Thoughts on Reese’s PB&J Strawberry Jam Big Cups. Your FORKING opinion may indeed differ.
