Dining Out With DOGS in Las Vegas NV – January 2024

Dining out with dogs in Las Vegas is just a “Fluff” story. It all sort of started with my late dog Louie. He was elderly and came down with aggressive cancer. We were told that Louie probably only had three months to live….maybe up to 6 months…..Well Louie always loved eating and always loved going out to eat so I thought the nicest thing I could do for Louie was to take him out to eat as often as I could. The good news is that Louie made it another 17 months. Today I take my current dogs out to eat when I can and when the weather is right.

The dogs got to go to SNS Diner BBQ in North Las Vegas. They always love going here. You might have seen this restaurant on Food Network’s Diners Drive Inns and Dives.I got a two meat plate with chicken and brisket. My two sides were slaw and macaroni and cheese.

The dogs got to eat, brisket, chicken, macaroni and cheese.

The dogs also got some meats from my husbands 3 meat plate.

And they are back to me for more off my plate.

The Dogs always love going to SNS Diner BBQ.

The next week it was FORKING COLD and WINDY here so we took the dogs to an In-Out-Drive Thru

The Giant Aussie pushed the beagle/chihuahua out of his seat so SHE CAN OBSERVE.

Then they got to eat the cheeseburger at home because it was TOO FORKING COLD to sit at a table (I did try).

Look at them…..The Giant Aussie is smiling….The Beagle/Chihuahua is trying to inhale the burger threw the air.

The Giant Aussie is always first.

Now it’s the Beagle/Chihuahua’s turn.

I gave them about 1/3 of the cheeseburger. They will get the rest for snacks.

My dogs always welcome an In-And-Out Burger.

They also got to try Those Guys Pies. This restaurant was also featured on Diners Drive-inns and Dives on Food Network. This restaurant as the name implies offers pizzas, sandwiches, and Thrifty ice Cream.

We shared an Italian White Pizza (ricotta, mozzarella, broccoli rabe, garlic, caramelized onion, roasted tomatoes, lemon oil) with the sausage on the side for the dogs.

They also got beef dog biscuits from the dog biscuit vending machine that they have inside.

The dogs always enjoy Those Guys Pies!

Dining Out With DOGS in Las Vegas NV December 2023

Dining Out With Dogs is just a “Fluff” story about taking my dogs out to eat. It all sort of started with my late dog Louie. He always enjoyed going out to eat. He always enjoyed eating too. Louie got to be elderly and came down with aggressive cancer. We were told he probably only had three month and maybe up to six months to live. I took Louie out to eat as often as I could and he made it another seventeen months. Today I take my current dogs out to eat when the weather is nice and when I can.

We did take out from Salad And Go (a take out salad restaurant). They offer 8 different salads, wraps, soup, breakfast, and a kids menu. But no dining is in here. It’s all take out. So we went threw the drive threw and dined basically across the street at Craig Ranch Park.

I got the autumn salad with chicken. (romaine, Brussels sprouts, sweet potato, parmesan cheese, cranberries, pecans, balsamic vinaigrette. (this salad was only $6.40)

Someone is very happy to share the chicken and some sweet potato.

Someone else is also very happy with some chicken and sweet potato.

They also get some goodies from my husband’s customized Cobb Salad. (romaine, poblano, black beans, croutons, egg, steak, pepper jack, buffalo chicken, Greek Dressing, avocado, and bacon. He fed them some steak and some bacon.

Then they go back to me for more chicken and more sweet potato.

Everything was good except for the Brussels Sprouts….Today they were very bitter…..Usually they are good. Well at least they always were at the Salad And Go in North Phoenix.

The dogs got to try BBQ from John Mull’s Road Kill Grill.

I think this dog is actually smiling.

We shared a two meat plate – BBQ 1/4 chicken, brisket, yams, macaroni & cheese, cornbread.

The dogs also got to try some of my husband’s plate – pulled chicken, brisket, pulled pork, hot links on side, macaroni and cheese, meaty beans, cornbread.

The portions are crazy large.

I thought some things were better than other things but the dogs loved everything they tried.

The dogs also got to try The Goodwich downtown.

They got to sample turkey from the #9 Turkey Thyme sandwich (slow roasted turkey, applesauce stuffing, cranberry jam, mayo on a hoagie)

They also sampled pork from the #7 Cuban-Esque (pork butt, pork belly, pickled mustard, Swiss cheese, ham, chicharron, white bread)

The dogs were very happy to try The Goodwich.

Dining Out With DOGS in North Las Vegas NV – November 2023

Dining out with DOGS is just a “FLUFF” story about taking my dogs out to eat. It all really started with my late dog Louie. He always enjoyed going out to eat. When he got elderly and came down with aggressive cancer we were told that Louie only had about three months to live and maybe up to 6 months. I took Louie out to eat as often as possible and he made it another 17 months. Today I take my current dogs out to eat when the weather is right and when I can.

We went to Hawaiian Barbecue in North Las Vegas Nevada. They serve Hawaiian Lunch Plates……It’s usually an enormous amount of food served in a Styrofoam container usually served with rice and macaroni salad. They don’t have their own patio but a community patio is only a few doors down.

Today I went for the MINI Machiko Chicken……

.This “MINI” meal is not so mini and also came with a side cup of macaroni salad.t’s a lot of tender flavorful dark meat chicken that might be marinated and it’s coated in a slightly sticky crunchy coating. This really is an enormous amount of food and it only cost $8.99.

The dogs are thrilled with it.

The dogs also enjoyed my husband’s Bento Box. (BBQ beef, BBQ chicken, fried fish, and Spam, with double rice and macaroni salad.

The dogs and us enjoyed dining out at Hawaiian Barbecue #1.

The next weekend it was too cold to dine out so we did take out from SNS Diner BBQ.

My husband and dog are very found of the gumbo there.

My husband (and dog) also enjoy the hot link and macaroni and cheese.

I like (and the dogs like) the bbq pastrami from SNS Diner BBQ but I do note that the pastrami I tried here in June was spiced and smoked and hand cut a little better than today’s…..Don’t get me wrong todays is still good but what I tried in June was phenomenal.

Picture of June Pastrami.

June Pastrami

It taste different than the thin sliced pastrami.

Both dogs are interested in the pastrami and the macaroni and cheese.

The next day during the day we thought it was warm enough to treat the dogs to an In-And-Out-Burger. So we did that real fast.

The dogs never complain about In-And-Out-Burgers……There are close to 400 locations of In and Out Burgers out there and this chain is growing too so one might be near you soon.

Last time my dogs tried the beef biscuits. This time they tried the chicken biscuits.

One of the nice workers there ran a dog bowl of water over to my dogs.

The dogs were very happy tasting some of my husband’s cheesesteak. (my husband was happy eating it too)

The dogs were also happy to help me eat my lakeside salad with added chicken.

Dining Out With DOGS at Those Guys Pies North Las Vegas NV

Those Guys Pies is a pizza and cheesesteak restaurant with a location in North Las Vegas Nevada. If they seem familiar then maybe you caught them featured on Food Network’s Diners Drive-ins and Dives with Guy Fire. Those Guys Pies is one of the few dog friendly restaurants in North Las Vegas Nevada and the they were open and set up for us unlike another restaurant we were thinking about trying……. Those Guys Pies also might be the only restaurant with a Craft Dog Biscuit Vending Machine too!

So today my dogs got to try Sniff Pistols Craft Beef Dog Biscuits.

Both dogs enjoy the beef dog biscuits.

I didn’t give the dogs any of the diablo fries because they are FORKING HOT!!!!! I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone because they are TOO HOT for anyone to enjoy. I’m surprised that they make them that hot.

Everything else was good.

I had a house salad with grilled chicken.

Both dogs enjoyed the chicken from my salad.

The dogs also got to enjoy some sausage from my husband’s sausage sandwich.

Dining Out With DOGS at SNS Diner BBQ North Las Vegas NV

SNS Diner & BBQ is also known as Southern Nevada BBQ and is located in North Las Vegas Nevada. They offer breakfast, and a lunch/dinner menu of comfort foods. They also offer daily specials and of course barbecue. If they look or sound familiar it might be because they’ve been featured on Food Network’s Diners Drive-ins and Dives.

They have all kinds of seating inside.

Outside was only three tables but we managed to get one and the dogs were very happy about that.

We tried a bbq corned beef sandwich with a side salad. The side salad came out first.

The dogs got to eat my cucumbers from the salad.

My husband started out with a cup of gumbo.

He thought it was good and my digs were excited to eat some of the sausage in it.

I gave my dogs a small amount of the smoked corned beef.

They do a mild kind of corned beef here but it is tender. (The smoked pastrami here is more like an east coast style…Well it was last time…) The dogs got mostly bbq chicken that was very good! It was really tender, lightly smoked with crispy skin and really perfect! They also got bbq pulled pork, the tender brisket, some macaroni and cheese, and a little sweet cornbread (not pictured).

The dogs were very pleased with SNS Diner & BBQ and can’t wait to return.

My DOGS FORKING Thoughts on Maple Bacon Bubble Lick Bubbles

I found Maple Bacon Bubble Lick at my local Petsmart. It reads on the bottle that it is safe for dogs and kids to eat maple bacon bubbles and it’s made in America so I thought it sounds like fun so why not?

When you open the bottle to use it smells like maple syrup.

We try it with our Giant Aussie crossed with Cattle Dog first.

She looks at the bubbles.

Then she seems interested. It looks like she might do something?

Then she watches them burst on the ground…..

Then we try Maple Bacon Bubble Lick with our beagle-chihuahua mix.

He looks at the bubbles.

He still is watching the bubbles.

Then he watches the bubbles bust on the ground.

Both my dogs just watch the bubbles. I wonder why they just watch the bubbles? Then I read the ingredients.

I guess not enough maple or maybe not enough bacon for my dogs taste.

That’s what my dogs did with Maple Bacon Bubble Lick.

Your dogs actions may or may not differ??

My Dogs at Those Guys Pies North Las Vegas NV

We recently had our first cool day since May so we took the dogs to Those Guys Pies in North Las Vegas Nevada. They are a pizza and cheesesteak restaurant that has been featured on Food Network’s Diners Drive-ins and Dives. I’ve been here a few times and we asked if they were dog friendly and they said YES! They even have dog biscuit vending machine inside. So far we do like the steak sandwiches here and we also think that the Italian White pizza is very good!

Today my husband got another cheesesteak but the one he had today had extra cheese. My bad I forgot to photo so here is a picture of the last one he woofed down.

Today I got a Caesar salad with added roasted tomatoes and grilled chicken.

It’s made with white meat chicken that is moist. The salad is fresh and crisp and the dressing is reasonably good. But my dogs think that the chicken is great! My bigger dog periodically while dining slaps me for more chicken.

They also get a little bit of cheesesteak.

We all enjoyed our trip to Those Guys Pies in North Las Vegas.

Dining Out With DOGS in Metro Phoenix AZ – April 2023 – Banh Mi Bistro Vietnamese Eatery, Culver’s

Dining out with dogs is just a “Fluff” story about taking my dogs out to eat. It all sort of started with my dog Louie. He was elderly and was diagnosed with aggressive cancer. His diagnosis was 3-to maybe 6 months. He couldn’t do a lot but always enjoyed going out to eat so I took him out to eat as often as I could. Instead of the 3-6 months Louie made it another 17 months. Today I take my current dogs out to eat when I can.

There are many things to know about dining out with dogs. You need to find a dog friendly restaurant. (not all of them are even if they have patios) Here in Phoenix weather can be an issue. 90 degrees and above is dangerous for dogs because they aren’t as heat tolerant as people. Also the food and drink that you consume can cause illness or even be TOXIC to your dog. (you need to check with your veterinarian for lists of safe foods and foods to avoid) Once you do find the right spot to dine out with dog(s) you must keep your dog(s) close to you. Dogs shouldn’t sit on restaurant furniture or eat off of restaurant plates.

A regular stop for us is Banh Mi Bistro Vietnamese Eatery in North Phoenix. They are a Pho-Free Vietnamese eatery that specializes in serving around a dozen different Banh Mi baguette sandwiches. Some of their other offerings are rice plates, noodle salad bowls, and curry chicken.

Today I got a chicken banh mi and my husband got a shaken beef banh mi.

The sandwiches are very large and for me they are two meals if I do take out but here I share a lot with the dogs. I eat 1/2 and pull out the meat from the other half for the dogs.

We always enjoy going to Banh Mi Bistro Vietnamese Eatery

It’s starting to turn HOT in Phoenix. Culver’s is a casual burger chain that opens at 10:00 before it’s too hot to dine out with dogs so we have to take them there. Culver’s is better than most other similar chains because the beef and chicken are never from frozen. They also offer daily made custard, chicken sandwiches and tenders, fish sandwiches and entrees, a kids menu and more.

We got the dogs a double butter burger with cheese.

he burger is moist and nicely caramelized. I remove the bread. and give them about a third of the burger. Over the next two days they will have the rest as treats.

He looks so funny looking up at the burger.

She sure has her eyes on that burger.

They enjoyed Culver’s!

Dining Out With DOGS in Metro Phoenix AZ March 2023 Banh Mi Bistro Vietnamese Eatery, Cucina Tagliani, Salad and Go, Twisted Italian

Dining out with DOGS in Metro Phoenix is just a “FLUFF” story about taking my dogs out to eat. It all sort of started with my dog Louie. He was elderly and he was diagnosed with aggressive cancer and was expected to only be around for another three months or 6 months at the most. Louie couldn’t do a lot at that time but he always enjoyed going out to eat. So I took Louie out to eat as often as I could. Louie made it another 17 months instead of the 3-6 month diagnoses.Today I take my current dogs out to eat when the weather is right and when I can.

You need to know a little bit about dining out with dogs. Do you know that just because a restaurant has a patio doesn’t necessarily mean that you can bring your dog to dine there with you. You need to see a dog friendly sign or call the restaurant and ask first. Weather is also a factor. Dogs are not as heat tolerant as people (remember that they wear fur coats) 90 degrees F and above is too hot to dine out with dogs. Also much of the food and drink that you enjoy can be harmful or even TOXIC to dogs. It’s best to educate yourself about safe and non-safe foods for your dog from your veterinarian.

We regularly go to Banh Mi Bistro Vietnamese Eatery in North Phoenix. They are a Pho-Free Vietnamese Restaurant that offers around a dozen different Banh Mi Baguette sandwiches, rice plates, salad noodle bowls, and more! Portions are always large and prices are very reasonable.

Today my husband got a grilled pork rice plate.

The dogs also got to enjoy some of the pork.

Look how happy she is!

He is also happy to eat.

I got the small lotus root salad and the chicken potstickers.

I don’t eat shrimp so the dogs get all of the shrimp.

The dogs always LOVE going to Banh Mi Bistro Vietnamese Eatery.

We also made it to Cucina Tagliani in North Glendale. They are an American Italian Style Restaurant that has been in business for over thirty years.

They are usually extra nice to dogs here. They served my dogs a bowl of water to start out with.

Today I got the strawberry and goat cheese salad with chicken. Our server said that it came with soup. I didn’t want soup today so my husband volunteered to get the minestrone soup.

Then the nice waitress offered a plate of cheese for the dogs.

My smaller dog inhaled the cheese so fast that you can’t see anything. I think his favorite food might be cheese……

Next they get chicken from my strawberry and goat cheese salad.

Both dogs enjoyed the chicken.

My husband had a Stromboli today. He gave some sausage to the dogs and they enjoyed that too!

Not one but TWO other dogs dined out on Cucina Tagliani’s Patio today….My dogs kept eating and stayed quiet.

This week we made it to Twisted Italian in North Peoria. They offer their spin on Italian Foods that is a little different. They offer things like pierogis and Italian rellenos. Whatever you get they start you off with warm bread and olive oil embellished with balsamic.

The dogs are always excited to try some bread.

But when the meals come out they get more excited.

My husband got the Italian Relleno (stuffed poblano pepper with house made Italian sausage, provolone, mozzarella, sauce, peppers, onions, with jumbo fried ravioli covered in tomato cream sauce)

The dogs got to eat some ravioli and a little bit of sausage here.

I got one of the lunch specials…The salmon with grilled vegetables and a side of angel hair pasta.

It’s really too much food for lunch but my dogs don’t mind helping me with this plate.

This dog is smiling. The dogs got to eat some of the salmon and all of the zucchini.

We did well at Twisted Italian
